Shannon Beador has made it no secret that she wants absolutely nothing to do with Vicki Gunvalson. Obviously that is not at all possible since they are both cast members on Real Housewives of Orange County. And the latest episode showed us all that things are going to be super awkward for the two of them – probably for the rest of the season.
So what is about the whole situation that bothers Shannon so much? Shannon explains.

It seems like Shannon cannot let go of last year’s drama, and Shannon tries to tell the viewers why she feels the way that she does in her Bravo blog.
Shannon wrote, “Let me just dive in. I am not looking forward to having the inevitable conversation with Vicki because I have made the decision I no longer want to have a friendship with her. I don’t make decisions like that lightly. I believe that I was lied to for well over a year, longer than any other cast member, because Vicki knew I would defend her to the end. I am a loyal friend and I was the last person standing in her defense.”
It was hard for me to realize why Shannon was taking the Brooks Ayers cancer scam so personally, but it’s definitely valid for Shannon to be offended after she adamantly defended Vicki for so long.

Vicki thinks that Shannon is just making the situation about herself and Shannon tried to shoot down that accusation when she wrote, “I am entitled to make decisions that are best for me. I am not stuck in the past. I am tired of Vicki saying that I am making everything about me. I am tired of her calling me ‘disgusting and vile’ which she has done numerous times.”
Shannon wanted to make it clear that she is over Vicki’s actions from last year when she wrote, “I have forgiven and moved on. Tamra [Judge], Heather [Dubrow], and Meghan [Edmonds] all know that.” She also said, “It’s not about being right or wrong. I don’t want a person that continues to fabricate things and not take accountability for them in my life. I am not going to put myself in the situation to be hurt and used again. I am only protecting myself and I am allowed to make decisions ensuring that will happen. I’m tired of talking about it.”
Fair enough. Vicki is not a reliable friend so I don’t blame Shannon for not wanting Vicki in her life.
