I am so tired of hearing about Luann de Lesseps’s engagement. Don’t get me wrong, I am a fan of the Countess, but I can’t deal with people who turn their wedding DAY into a wedding year. Not only that, but I’m so over her acting like she is the only person who has ever been engaged and alleging that the other women are jealous. No. One. Is. Jealous.
Considering that this topic has been repeated so many times throughout the season, I figured that Luann would have major beef with Sonja Morgan and Ramona Singer – who we ALL know dated Luann’s fiance Tom D’Agostino – but Luann foreshadows a different kind of drama in the second half of the “to be continued” episode. Bethenny Frankel was barely in the episode, but Lu’s given us a major hint about what to expect next week on Real Housewives of New York.

For someone who keeps talking about how happy she is all season, Luann sure has been doing a ton of complaining. Weirdly enough, it seems like she’s taking issue with pretty much every woman except for Carole Radziwill. What a strange turn of events. But anyway, Luann is really going off on Bethenny in her latest Bravo blog entry. I am pretty surprised by this since Bethenny was barely in any scenes this episode, but clearly this means that the rest of the trip is going to be dramatic.
During the episode, Bethenny said that she can see Sonja being a “sleeper cell” and instigating some controversy with her former friend with benefits Tom at Luann’s (second) engagement party. This did not please Luann who wrote, “Is Sonja a sleeper cell? I’m thinking that Bethenny is going to be the terrorist of this trip!”
Well that is a pretty lofty accusation based on something that I thought was a pretty minor thing to say.
Luann also wrote, “You can see how excited she was to tell her friend in Florida about something she heard regarding Tom and me. The look on her face says it all…like a cat who ate the canary!”

I know Bethenny says and does a lot of offensive shit, but I really didn’t think she was trying to stir the pot with this one. It would have looked shady as hell if Bethenny didn’t tell Luann what she heard. She was damned if she did and damned if she didn’t. Am I the only one feels like Luann is trying way too hard to make this relationship work? What is up with that?
Once again, Luann goes off on the other women being jealous of her and wanting to bring her down. She wrote, “Why some of the girls revel in making me unhappy, I’ll never understand. I’m just glad that I know myself and I know Tom so whatever Bethenny’s concocting, we’re ready for it.”
Luann really needs to chill. She’s acting like it is not at all unusual that she is marrying someone who very recently got with multiple close friends of hers. I’m not saying that this means that Tom and Lu are not genuinely in love, but it’s super off-putting that she hasn’t acknowledged any of her friends’ very relevant concerns.
TELL US – DO YOU THINK BETHENNY WAS EXCITED TO HEAR THAT GOSSIP ABOUT TOM? OR IS SHE JUST BEING A GOOD FRIEND IF SHE TELLS LU ABOUT IT?
