“It’s one thing to rock the boat and another to sink the ship,” chastises Luann de Lesseps. But I think we can all agree that sinking the love boat is one thing the ladies of Real Housewives Of New York excel at.
Luann may be madly in love with Tom, but she spends an awful lot of time defending him since Tom seems to have spread his love all around Manhattan, and her co-stars, who also partook in Tom‘s party favors, aren’t doing Luann’s engagement any favors by continuing to disparage it. Once again, Lu is fed up!

Despite the ladies’ less than favorable reviews during her engagement party, Luann insists she still “had a lot of fun.”
“Tom enjoyed the night as well, and he was blissfully unaware that Ramona and Sonja were still focusing on him,” Luann gushes. “That’s why I love him! I can assure you, the only gazing Tom did across the room that night was at me!”
Also, grapefruit-schnapefruit! “His comment to Ramona about smelling like a grapefruit was innocent,” dismisses Luann. “He was trying to be nice.”
“As for Sonja, I understand that in the past she enjoyed Tom’s company and their friendship, and I want them to still be friends…just different kinds of friends!” Well, errrr… how about YOU be a friend to Sonja first and we worry about Tom, later, Lu?
Oh, speaking of, Lu isn’t to thrilled with how Sonja treated her other friends. “Sonja’s rude comments about my party guests shows that while she’s cordial on the outside, on the inside she’s angry with me for taking Tom off the market.” Is that so? She’s not miffed that you’re discounting her feelings, Lu?
“I felt bad that I lost my temper with Ramona, but I’d had enough of her making a couple of dates with Tom into something it wasn’t,” Luann admits. “The next day was supposed to start in a very chill way with breakfast on deck yet ended up with me having to set Ramona straight about how she was going to act if she was to remain my guest.”

Ramona may have thrown a tantrum over the article misidentifying her as Tom’s friend with benefits, but Luann shrugs that the “press sometimes gets the facts wrong.” Luann adds, “That’s why there’s a thing called a retraction, which Ramona could have requested when the Post said she was Tom’s longtime friend rather than Sonja.”
“I did apologize to her and she to me,” continues Luann. “I’ve known Ramona for a long time and we move past these disagreements, yet I wish she would think before she speaks. Am I asking too much of her?” (YES)
Of course, Luann must address her “very weird” conversation with Bethenny Frankel. Bethenny’s questions “unsettled” her and Luann definitely doesn’t trust her motives. “We’ve all had situations where we had to decide whether or not to tell a friend about something we’ve heard, and every situation is different,” she writes in her blog. “I am still unsure if Bethenny’s heart is in the right place.”
Finally, Luann expresses sympathy for Jules Wainstein over her “unpleasant” situation with Michael. “It appears that he sent his kids to the Hamptons while staying back in the city,” says Luann. “I don’t think that this is so much of their problem as that Jules and Michael aren’t on the same page when it comes to their kids. Never a good thing.” Ummm.. yeah except I think that WAS their problem, Lu, as Michael was probably spending his time in the city in the company of another woman!
