I find it painfully ironic that someone who is constantly claiming “I’m rich, bitch” is being threatened by the government, but apparently that is the case for Real Housewives of Atlanta alum NeNe Leakes. I wonder what her former (current?) costars think about this news since NeNe is known to brag about her wealth and use it as a point to win arguments with the ladies.
NeNe may be rich, bitch, but she apparently does not pay her taxes. According to Daily Mail, the IRS plans to seize NeNe’s assets if she doesn’t pay up $824,366.01 in back taxes from the year 2014. That is an awful lot of money to me, but if NeNe can live up to the game that she has talked, it really should not be a big deal for her to pay this off so hopefully she gets it together soon.

Apparently the (former?) reality TV star was slapped with a tax lien on July 22, 2016.
I’m sure the Real Housewives of Atlanta ladies are straight up seething over this one. After all, Atlanta has the shadiest cast of them all, so if anyone is going to take pleasure in the misfortune of others, it’s probably these women. But anyway, what did NeNe do? For someone who loves to talk about her money, getting in trouble with the IRS really is not a good look – not that it is in general, but hopefully you get the point that I am trying to make.
It really seems like NeNe is making a lot of money these days, so I feel like she can easily pay this one off. I have a feeling this will be resolved ASAP, although it is still probably embarrassing for her.
