Kim Richards Avoid Jail Time After Violating Her Probation

“Lucky” is not a word that most people would use to describe Kim Richards since she has had a lot of rough times in her life, but the woman just caught a MAJOR break. As most of us know, Kim was convicted for stealing over $600 worth of goods from a Target store back in 2015. In response to that Kim was put on probation and was required to do community service and attend Alcoholics Anonymous sessions, which Kim did not come through on.

This is a major no no, but luckily for Kim a judge cut her a huge break and she does not have to go to to jail for the probation violation. Kim’s lawyers deserve a bonus check for pulling this one off.

Kim has had some very public struggles from her sobriety to her legal indiscretions, so it’s honestly surprising that Kim did not actually get in trouble for violating her probation.

In fact, according to TMZKim missed the deadline for completing 30 days of community service and attending 52 AA sessions. Both of those seem like important things to get done so how did her lawyers justify that? Kim is now up to date on her AA meetings and she is close to completing her community service obligations.

I would kind of get cutting Kim a break if she actually did complete both the AA and community service requirements, but giving her a pass for completing some of the community service that she was supposed to seems pretty generous.

Kim is still on probation and she has to complete her requirements by her next hearing in November. Hopefully Kim can get it together and turn her life around- for real this time.
