Former Real Housewives of Miami cast member Alexia Echevarria’s ex-husband Herman Echevarria has died. You probably remember Herman from his appearances while Alexia was a cast member on the (seemingly cancelled) Real Housewives of Miami because they worked together as founders of Venue magazine. This is very sad news and at this point the cause of death is unclear. Herman was found dead in his room at the Epic Hotel in Miami, Florida on Monday September 26.
Reportedly people found it odd that Herman wasn’t answering his phone and that is when his body was found dead in his room. There is no official cause of death at this point, but it is rumored that he passed away from a heart attack.

The news was confirmed to E! from the Miami police and his death his still under investigation. Of course, this is heartbreaking news and I’m sure that it is a lot for Alexia and her family to process. Aside from the E! News story, Alexia confirmed Herman’s passing herself in an Instagram post.
Within the Instagram post, Alexia wrote a statement about Herman on behalf of the family, “The Echevarria family is heartbroken over the sudden passing of our patriarch Herman Echevarria this morning. He was a family man, a hardworking businessman, dedicated to helping others and a pillar of his community that was loved by everyone who’s life he touched. We ask that you Please respect our privacy during this time of grieving.”
Hopefully the family is able to get some resolve after they get answers from the medical examination. This is definitely some very sad news.
