On tonight’s Watch What Happens Live, Heather Dubrow got a chance to clear up a few things about this week’s Real Housewives of Orange County episode. She explains her flask of Fireball, defends Shannon Beador‘s pushy tequila behavior, and apologizes to Kelly Dodd for bringing up her daughter on the bus – and much more!
Heather says Terry offered to fix Vicki’s lopsided nipples if she was willing to come on “Botched.” No word on Vicki’s decision to do it. No matter her decision, Heather says Vicki looks great.
Heather explains her flask filled with Fireball. “With this group, we just have a thing with Fireball. We did it in Bali, we did at this one sort of epic dinner with all of us after Shannon threw a party with this frozen food and nobody ate because it was awful, we all (including Shannon) went to Maestros afterward and had Fireball, so it’s been a thing with us. I got this cute flask and thought ‘I’m gonna fill it with Fireball and have this fun moment in Ireland because it’s whiskey.'”
Heather’s opinion on Shannon trying to get Kelly naked wasted. “No, I think that when we had lunch at the grounds of Powerscourt, Kelly was sick.” Heather says that Kelly was upset that she missed out on the cast’s night out the night before and “Shannon was just trying to get the party started and get it going because that’s what Kelly said she wanted to do.”
Andy replays the clips of the ladies arguing in the hallway and on the bus and asks “this all happened at 3 a.m. on the way to the airport?” Heather says, “yes, and by the way, you’ll have to watch next week. Not the entire bus ride was shown, so some of the reactions you’re seeing from myself, Tamra and Shannon are sort of underplayed. When you see the full scope of what was said by Kelly, you might understand.”
Who does Heather think was more to blame: Kelly for what she said about Tamra or Tamra for putting her hands on Kelly? “I actually thought that Tamra showed surprising restraint given the situation.”
Which was worse: watching Shannon trying to get Kelly secretly drunk or Vicki’s lopsided nipples? “I don’t believe that Shannon was trying to get Kelly drunk, I think she was trying to be a party starter and get the night going.”
Heather’s asked to say three nice things about Kelly: She has good style, she loves her daughter and can be really fun.
A caller asks Heather if she feels hypocritical for bringing up Kelly’s daughter after slamming Kelly for her comments about Tamra and her daughter. “I don’t believe what I said and what Kelly said were in the same category. Having said that, you really haven’t seen the scope of what happened on the bus, you’ll see that next week. I think at that point I was thinking about what it would be like to live with her. But having said that, it was 3 o’clock in the morning, we had been drinking a lot and I do regret talking about her child at all and for that I apologize.”
What did Heather think about Kelly allegedly looking into her financials? “I’m such an open book when it comes to everything but I don’t understand what that was about. But I also heard other things – that Kelly has talked about where I went to school and said that I went to a third tier college and that where I grew up in Chappaqua wasn’t that nice.” She shares that she went to Syracuse University for musical theater, “it was a good school and a good program and Chappaqua, New York is where the Clintons live, so it’s a nice area.”
Does Heather think Kelly was acting the way she was because the rest of the ladies ganged up on her? “Kelly talks a lot about being ambushed and being ganged up on but I don’t see where that happens. To me, Kelly was lashing out at all of us and we were all reacting to it, so I really didn’t understand that.” She does think Kelly has some stuff going on in her life and that’s why she was lashing out.
Why was it okay for Vicki to flash Terry but it wasn’t okay for Kelly to curse at the dinner party? “Uh, he’s a doctor. It was like a consult.”
What’s one of the most horrifying things Heather has had to deal with this season? “There’s been a lot. We’re actually filming the reunion on Thursday, so I’m going to have to save that particular piece of information. But I will tell you this: as far as this season, I have four children, three are girls and I’m teaching them that you’re known by the company that you keep and you want to surround yourself with people are blue skies, who love each other, who want to lift each other up and it’s really hard to be in a group where people are screaming “c u next Tuesday” to each other.”
