SIggy Flicker and Dolores Catania

Siggy Flicker Is “So Happy” About The Reunion Group Hug; Wants To Appear At Events With Dolores Catania

To be honest, I really don’t get what Siggy Flicker expected to get out of being a cast member on Real Housewives of New Jersey. She’s all about being the peacemaker, but that is not what we want from this show.

Nevertheless, I am not surprised that Siggy requested for the ladies to come in for group hug at the end of the reunion. I have no idea if she and Dolores Catania are going to be back next season, since they didn’t really contribute to the story lines, but they’re capitalizing on Housewives experience while they can and they want to do public appearances – together – of course.

I would love to be friends with Siggy and Dolores, but they are just way too nice for reality television, especially this show, that is known for some nasty arguments and fights. As great as Dolores and Siggy seem to be as people, I don’t think Real Housewives of New Jersey should be all about kumbaya moments. Do you?

Siggy had nothing to say at the reunion (shocking) other than requesting a group hug at the end to to bring the attention back to herself. And apparently Siggy really thinks highly of herself for doing so because she posted a screen shot of the moment on Instagram along with an extremely lengthy caption – I’m talking two paragraphs with an “XOXO Siggy” at the end.

Siggy went on and on about wanting everyone to love each. Then, she finally addressed the hug itself, “So happy I got the ‘group hug’ in the end! Not everyone is going to understand my journey this past season and how much I wanted to bring these ladies together, and that’s fine. It’s not anyone else’s journey to make sense of – it’s MINE. For me, it’s all about heart and soul and YES, I cry a lot and I will continue to do so!”

I’m sure Siggy is great at her job as a “relationship expert,” but that’s not what we need on a show that thrives on conflict, especially when she contributes no other story line.

Bottom line: Siggy seems like a great friend to have in real life, but she is not made for reality TV. If she can’t deal with the drama and she doesn’t contribute, then I don’t get why she would stick around… other than to hang out with her BFF Dolores. I do think that these two have a sweet friendship. I’ll give them that. And again, I have to say that they seem like nice ladies, but they just are not meant to be on reality TV. But if you want to hang out with them in real life, they have no shame putting themselves out there.

Both Dolores and Siggy posted the same picture of themselves with words overlaying asking people to book them as a duo for public appearances. I admire their hustle, without a doubt, but it would come off way better coming from a publicist or an agent instead of the two of them soliciting checks on their personal Instagrams. It seems a little desperate. There are way less interesting (believe it or not) and less known reality TV stars who get appearances with no issue, so I don’t get why they would both post this graphic.

I feel like such a horrible person for calling Siggy and Dolores boring because they aren’t dysfunctional or mean enough to be on reality TV, but it in all honesty, it’s a compliment. They are way too nice to be on Real Housewives of New Jersey, so I’m very interested to see how their request to make public appearances goes. I also am wondering if they will be asked back to do another season…

TELL US – DO YOU THINK THAT DOLORES & SIGGY ARE INTERESTING ENOUGH TO BE REAL HOUSEWIVES? WHAT DID YOU THINK ABOUT SIGGY INSISTING ON THE GROUP HUG AT THE REUNION?
