Eileen Davidson Says She Wants To Put Last Year’s Drama Behind Her – Does She Mean It?

The first episode of the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills‘s seventh season didn’t have much action. In fact, it just rehashed a lot of last season’s drama.

I mean, I was happy to see my favorite Real Housewives back in action, but listening to Eileen Davidson and Lisa Rinna talk about how manipulative Lisa Vanderpump is, over and over again, did not do anything for me. I do not mind the three of them feuding, but can they just argue about something new?

Yolanda Foster isn’t even on this show anymore, so they need to leave all talk of Munchausen in the past. Then there is Eileen and her need for an apology. Unfortunately, the previews for what’s to come includes even more of Eileen looking for apologies. For someone who didn’t want to discuss her affair on TV, Eileen certainly is dragging out LVP’s mention of it over multiple episodes over two seasons (so far). I actually like Eileen, but she needs to try something new if she wants a compelling story line.

The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills stars blog about each episode, so I was expected for Eileen to continue obsessing over Lisa Vanderpump in her latest blog entry, but she weirdly did not. In fact, she mentioned every other cast member but LVP. Maybe she doesn’t want to feed into Lisa’s relevance? Maybe she feels stupid for constantly talking about Lisa? Eh, I doubt it, but her blog was a snooze fest.

Eileen declared, “I have to say, I’m so ready to put the drama of last season behind me. I’m not entirely sure how realistic ‘no drama’ is, but I can dream!” If we had a show full of women with Eileen’s mentality, it would be cancelled. I have news for you, Eileen: drama is the entire point of reality television.

If you played a drinking game with one rule, the best way to get wasted while watching the premiere episode would be to take a sip every time Rinna or Eileen mentioned Lisa Vanderpump. You would be falling all over yourself. In reference to her partner in crime, Eileen wrote, “I think her motto of focusing on joy is wonderful. We’re also in the same place about the drama of last season: We’re ready to move on. We have both had major life events that have put the petty things into perspective.”

That last part may be true, but “moving on” seems like the last thing these two are doing so far this season.

Eileen concluded, “Everything seems so copacetic in the first episode. I’m taking bets on how long that lasts. But for now, I will enjoy it while I can!” Again, I don’t get how she doesn’t understand that the fandom lives for the drama. We do not want barbs about nonsense that happened last year or everyone getting along. We want fresh drama and we want it now.
