I don’t think there is anything that will ever get me to stop watching the Real Housewives of Atlanta, but I definitely miss the golden era with NeNe Leakes, Kim Zolciak, and Sheree Whitfield’s chaotic triangle of friendship.
NeNe, Kim, and Sheree had so many ups and downs that there was honestly no need to have anyone else in the cast. With that said, it’s crazy that they all seem to be over all of the past drama. It was surprising last season on RHOA when NeNe crashed the group vacation and got along perfectly with former frienemy Sheree and it’s also crazy how Sheree and Kim were able to put their issues behind them and actually be friends again.

I miss the original cast too much. They had issues with each other all the time, addressed them, and then moved on to argue about the next problem or to be on good terms. None of these people just dragged out the same drama forever and ever in an attempt to reach for a story line.
So I’m really not too surprised that OG RHOA cast members NeNe, Kim, and Sheree all seem to be on pretty good terms these days. We all saw Sheree and NeNe being best buds last season and Sheree recently opened up about her renewed relationship with Kim in an interview with Bravo’s The Daily Dish.
Sheree explained, “When you step back and you take time for yourself and you realize what’s important — Kim and I were really cool, or even NeNe, so you know that stuff was old. You can’t harbor all the negative energy.” This is a sentiment that I wish was shared by the Real Housewives who seem to get off on belaboring the same point for multiple seasons.

Sheree reiterated, “I just want to move forward, so we were able to move forward and be peaceful.” Plus it would be dope to have Kim back on the show. I would love to see her and Sheree teaming up to take down the egos of the current cast members.
As happy as I am that these two are actually getting along, I have to admit that my absolute favorite moment between them was when Sheree and Kim were arguing and Sheree tugged on Kim’s wig. The conflict was so out of hand that NeNe (of all people) was trying to mediate it. And the whole thing was even weirder when Michael Lohan randomly popped up. It was a truly iconic scene. I will never get over it.

Thankfully for the sake of their relationship, both Kim and Sheree are over the infamous moment. Sheree explained, “[It’s like], ‘Why are we mad?’ Like that was something that happened, what eight years ago? Why are we still mad?’ It is just dumb.”
Yeah, it is and I bet at this point they might even find a video clip of the scene to be pretty funny. I would like to think that anyone on a reality TV show has a sense of humor, but who knows.
I am pumped to see Kim walk into Sheree’s housewarming party on RHOA and catch the ladies off guard. The originals are back – watch out. Now we just need NeNe to finish out the trifecta.
