The first two episodes of Real Housewives of New York this season focused on the hackneyed Luann de Lesseps and Tom D’Agostino bashing. It was Bethenny Frankel‘s turn to come under fire in episode three. Ramona Singer randomly brought up Bethenny’s “soft core porn” past at a group dinner and asked if Bethenny’s SIX YEAR OLD daughter Bryn was aware of it. I can’t really see that coming up in between nap time and recess.
Bethenny owned up to her topless scene in a movie and didn’t seem bothered by that being a public topic of conversation. However, she seemed infuriated by Ramona bringing Bryn into the discussion. It makes me wonder if Ramona only did this because Bethenny didn’t immediately say “you’re both beautiful” in response to a photo of Ramona and Avery Singer. That definitely seemed to upset her, even more than the hurt she felt when Bethenny neglected to send her a newsletter and slide show about getting two dogs.

In her Bravo blog, Bethenny said the “episode is very catty and one of these circle jerk series of conversations that makes you want to scream.”
She continued, “The dinner was like The Twilight Zone. I own every inch of my past. I’m elated that my crappy acting career has been upgraded to my being a former porn star. If anyone can monetize that now, it is me.”
Isn’t that the truth? For all we know Bethenny has already secured a trademark for Skinnygirl Films.
Bethenny asserted, “As for the cute and calculated concern, you decide for yourself what the intent was.” The intent was shit stirring and camera time.

Bethenny could not care less about anyone in this cast aside from Carole Radziwill. She’s just collecting her paychecks and promoting her products. So it’s really not surprising that she just checked out of the Hamptons trip after that disastrous dinner. Still, the queen B defended herself, “There has been a lot of ‘Bethenny can dish it out but can’t take it’ talk. That episode appeared as me taking it pretty much the entire time.”
Bethenny didn’t take kindly to Dorinda Medley’s comment about Bethenny not liking it when people point out the cracks. Who does like that though? Does anyone enjoy it when people bring up the past and point out flaws?
Bethenny bragged, “As for Dorinda‘s comment about my not having cracks, she must have watched a different show for the past decade. My entire life and relationships have been full of cracks.”
Thankfully, Bethenny teased: “This season is just heating up!”
