Move over Kylie Jenner, there’s a new reality TV makeup entrepreneur getting into the game. Vanderpump Rules cast member Lala Kent has her one line of cruelty-free lip glosses. I know what you’re thinking, pretty much every female reality star is launching a line of makeup products, but there’s an intriguing twist to this one.
Well, it’s as intriguing as lip gloss could possibly be. Of course, Lala has two Christmas shades, but the others have some names that reference her biggest Vanderpump Rules story lines: her flirtation with James Kennedy and her secret boyfriend.
The on-again-off-again SUR hostess named her lip gloss line Give Them Lala, which has been her name on social media for quite some time. In an interview with Us Weekly, Lala insisted, “I’ve had all hands and feet in everything, from the photos, to picking the colors, to the packaging, all of it.”
She has a color called James. Lala admitted it was named after James Kennedy, which is sweet, but that’s not the real story here. And then there’s “Mistress” and “Affair” which are pretty interesting choices given her Season 5 drama. Lala explained, “Obviously, I had to poke fun at last season, so we had to go with The Affair and we had to go with Mistress.” That’s pretty clever, but not super surprising.
The surprising shade is named “Randy.” Lala still hasn’t officially confirmed the identity of her super secret boyfriend, but there have been rumors that the man in question is Randall Emmett. Lala is milking this mystery relationship for all its worth. Props to her because it’s clearly working for. Lala posted a photo on Instagram with boxes of orders that are ready to be shipped.
She shared, “It’s so funny because when he came to the Vanderpump premiere party the other day, producers were like, ‘Would you ever make an appearance on Vanderpump?’ and he said, ‘If you pay me one hundred million dollars, I’ll show up because that’s what my company is worth,’ so I think it’s safe to say, no, he will not be making an appearance on Vanderpump but he’s spoken about this season, so that’s cool.” What does that last part mean? He was spoken about all of last season. Maybe she’s hinting that we will finally get some details and a name confirmation.
Don’t hold you breath on that last part. Lala said, “He remains with no name, but he is definitely spoken about.” Again, he was spoken about all last season, but let’s just hope that there’s actually some sort of new information revealed. I’m not here for a Season 5 part two situation. Season 6 needs to give us new information to distract us from our own lives. We can only obsess over the same bits of knowledge for so long.
