The writing has been on the wall for a long time when it comes to Meghan Edmonds‘ departure from Real Housewives of Orange County. She almost didn’t come back for this past season, so it really isn’t surprising that she quit the show. Plus it seems like she spends most of her time in St. Louis with her husband Jim Edmonds anyway.
So unless they make a Real Housewives of St. Louis, it really doesn’t make sense for Meghan to be a Real Housewife. Jim has shared words of support for his wife leaving the show, Andy Cohen commented on Meghan’s departure, and Vicki Gunvalson shared her thoughts as well. Guess which one of them didn’t have a nice thing to say about it?
The king of Bravo himself, Andy tweeted, “gonna miss @MeghanKEdmonds !!!! #RHOC.” Meghan quoted his tweet and responded with some kissy face emojis.
Apparently Jim wrote and deleted a post about Meghan. Later Jim shared another photo that he left up with a very sweet caption about his wife. Meghan’s man wrote, “Let’s try this again. I am so PROUD of my wife. This beautiful woman is charging through life on her own terms. Please go read her blog at meghankedmonds.com and see what news she has for you all today. Sorry for the first false post. I jumped the gun. #stl#nomoreoc #sorrynotsorry.”
And then there’s Vicki, who Meghan never got along with for more than five minutes. Of course Vicki is happy that Meghan is off the show. She told RadarOnline, Meghan leaving the show was “fine with me.” She added, “We were never really friends anyways. She was tough to film with.”
Aside from investigating Vicki’s horrible ex (who shall not be named) for his cancer scam, Meghan wasn’t really bringing it to the show. She is thriving as a new mom and her family is primarily in St. Louis so it really doesn’t make much sense for her to be on a show that films in Orange County, California. This show is not the place for her. She’s better off and so are (most of) the viewers.
