Owning a clothing store has caused a lot of drama for Melissa Gorga. At first, she wasn’t getting support from her husband when she wanted to start her own business. She has competed with rival (and fellow boutique owner) Kim DePaola. She lost her business partner who ended up suing her.
Now the Real Housewives of New Jersey star has fessed up that her store Envy has been selling counterfeit Chanel products.
Instead of cowering from potential scandal, Melissa admitted the mistake in a post on her Instagram page. She shared a screen shot of some written text that said “NOTICE: Chanel has informed Envy By Melissa Gorga that all of the Chanel branded goods previously offered and sold by out company were counterfeit and illegal. As such, we have ceased all sales of Chanel branded goods and will not be carrying any such goods in our store in the future.”
Melissa didn’t elaborate more on the situation and she even disabled the ability to comment on the post, but it’s safe to assume that the situation will be discussed during Real Housewives of New Jersey Season 9. It’s a way more interesting way to promote the boutique than by wearing the store’s logo on t-shirts and hats in every scene.
TELL US- WHAT DO YOU THINK ABOUT MELISSA’S STATEMENT? WOULD YOU SHOP AT ENVY IF YOU LIVED IN THE NEW JERSEY AREA? DO YOU WANT THIS STORY TO BE FEATURED ON REAL HOUSEWIVES OF NEW JERSEY NEXT SEASON?
