Divorce is tough enough. Divorcing in the spotlight has to be even more difficult. Not that Jim Bellino is actually “in the spotlight” these days, but he has made some recent headlines since he and former Real Housewives of Orange County cast member Alexis Bellino announced their divorce last month.
Of course fans of the reality TV franchise were curious so it did make some headlines. Not only that, but Real Housewives of Orange County Season 13 just started back up again, so the current cast members are doing plenty of interviews to promote the new episodes. Tamra Judge and Shannon Beador were asked about the divorce during one podcast and Jim cannot get past it. In fact, he wants them to pay up for the distress they’ve (allegedly) cost him. How much does it cost to talk shit these days? Jim is asking for $1 million.
During an episode of Heather McDonald’s Juicy Scoop podcast, Tamra wondered, “Why is he wanting spousal support? I have a theory. Everything’s in her name. He’s going to go to jail. Yeah, he’s a shady motherf**ker.”
Shannon chimed in with some gossip about their Sky Zone indoor trampoline parks. She said, “I heard they don’t [own the trampoline park businesses] because they were sued,” Shannon claimed. “I won’t let my kids go because people get paralyzed. Apparently that happened.” The podcast was edited to exclude some of those comments after Jim threatened legal action.
Jim Bellino Threatens Legal Action Against Tamra Judge And Shannon Beador
According to an article from TMZ, Jim sent cease and desist letters to both Tamra and Shannon in response to those podcast comments.
On his own personal website, Jim wrote about the news coverage of his divorce: “Every daily update causes more personal pain for me, and there’s only so much I can do to shield my children, whose names have been brought up as part of this “news” story. Beyond this, all of the latest stories I see online are taking their toll on my physical and mental health.”
Then he claimed, “I have been forced to seek professional help for physical and psychological ailments I’ve been experiencing since being dragged through the mud by Tamra and Shannon. The repercussions of this behavior from them and the coverage that it gets are literally harming every part of me.”
Jim added, “Beyond this, my businesses have suffered, which has created hardship for myself, Alexis, and my children. I am, after all, a father who happens to own businesses, not an entrepreneur who happens to have children.”
