Bethenny Frankel has been quiet on social media since losing her on-again, off-again beau, Dennis Shields. The Real Housewives of New York star posted a small tribute to both Dennis and her late dog, Cookie, but other than that she’s not had too much to share as she mourns.
Yesterday she took a moment on Twitter to reflect on how grateful she is to everyone for letting her deal with her loss.
Bethenny shared with her followers on Twitter, “It’s hard to breathe & I appreciate you giving me the space & support to try to do so. It’s excruciating-sudden death is no closure & constant ?s & memories. Our relationship is current so it’s painfully raw. Trying to stay healthy & move through it w tears & close friends. Xo”
Of course it’s hard enough that Bethenny is grieving this loss, but then Jason Hoppy dragged her back into court to pour salt in the wound just days after his passing. Her ex-husband is claiming that Bethenny had Bryn around a drug addict and it made him question her parenting of their daughter.
We now know that Dennis was possibly suffering from a back injury and there has been no evidence that he was an addict. It seems that many were just making that “addict” assumption because of his cause of death.

We hope Bethenny gets some time to grieve and get through this without all the additional stress and pressure being thrown at her. She was spotted boating with her daughter this weekend, so hopefully she’s getting some much needed R&R.
This isn’t the first time Bethenny thanked her fans and followers. A few days after Dennis’ passing she posted a simple “Thank You” graphic on her Instagram.
