During the Season 1 finale episode of Summer House, Kyle Cooke and Amanda Batula officially started dating. Then Amanda went from making cameo appearances on the show to becoming a full-time cast member in Season 2. Now she’s going into Season 3 as the future Mrs. Cooke.
Yes, that’s right after two seasons of ups and downs, Kyle popped the question, they are engaged, and they are still cast members on Summer House…. unlike over half of the Season 2 cast.
In an interview with People, Kyle admitted, “I’m just relieved.” He explained, “I kind of felt like I was living a lie for several months because I knew I was going to propose but I wanted to keep things secret, catch her off guard, and completely surprise her — all of which I managed to pull off.” But did he manage to pull it off in front of a reality TV camera crew? Or will the proposal not be featured during Season 3 of the show? That is unclear from their joint interview, but it does seem likely. Why get engaged right after the summer ends when it can be filmed in time for a season finale episode?

In that same People interview, Amanda admitted, “It’s surreal.” She also said, “He’s the person I go to for everything. And he forces me to be a better person in different ways by pushing me outside of my comfort zone. Life with him is exciting. And to think he wants to spend the rest our his life with me and I feel the same way, it’s just a real happy feeling.”
The couple also posted about their engagement on Instagram. In his own post, Kyle wrote, “Future Mr. & Mrs Sendit, reporting for duty.” He also included a plethora of hashtags. Could these be possible wedding hashtags? “#weddingsshouldbefun #nomorecoldfeetcooke #mrandmrssendit #amandatakesthecookie #amandascookin#kissthecooke.” Amanda went with a short and sweet caption: “Hey guys, we did a thing.”
