Even though she is no longer a Real Housewives of Orange County cast member, it doesn’t mean that Alexis Bellino is free of the drama. Well, at least via association thanks to her ex Jim Bellino. Jim is suing Tamra Judge and Shannon Beador for “defamation” thanks to some comments they made on a podcast.
The podcast itself didn’t really make major headlines, but Jim himself keeps dragging this whole thing out and bringing more attention to Tamra and Shannon’s comments than they originally received. Jim isn’t the only former cast member looking for attention. Cue, Slade Smiley and his fiancee, former Orange County Housewife, Gretchen Rossi. They decided to involve themselves in this whole mess. Yes, this does seem random, but it really is not surprising that these two are entangled in this.
Jim is seeking $1 million in damages. Thankfully he and Alexis are off the show because the current cast members and husbands get it so much worse on social media, in interviews, on podcasts, and pretty much every medium possible. He would be suing for a lot more than $1 million if he got just as much shit as the actual current cast members have to endure.

Both Tamra and Shannon asked for the lawsuit to be dismissed. So how does this involve Slade and Gretchen? It actually didn’t. At all. Yet here we are….
According to an article from The Blast, Jim filed new papers this week to add in a note about Slade and Gretchen. Slade said that he and Gretchen are willing to testify and claimed: “that the Defendants have a pattern of making up stories to create notoriety for themselves in the media.”
He also said that they would “provide testimony regarding the anger, hostility and ill-will that Defendants harbor with respect to Bellino.” But why though? It doesn’t have anything to do with the actual case with Tamra and Shannon. Slade has a lot of free time these days, don’t they?
Update: Gretchen Tweeted out that she and Slade were subpoenaed.
