For Kelly Dodd’s first two seasons on Real Housewives of Orange County, she was essentially Vicki Gunvalson’s sole supporter. Now that Vicki is on good terms with Tamra Judge and Shannon Beador again, she’s all “Kelly who?” She completely broke girl code by setting up Kelly’s super recent ex Michael Dodd with another woman and going on double dates with the two of them and her boyfriend Steve Lodge.
On top of that, she kept the whole thing a secret, and had zero remorse for being shady. Now this whole thing has snowballed and the former close friends are not even on speaking terms these days.
In an interview with Entertainment Tonight, Kelly confessed, “We don’t talk at all.” She also revealed, “As a matter of fact, I went to Tamra’s house for her birthday in September, and Tamra showed me the text [from Vicki], she’s like, ‘I’m not gonna be there if Kelly’s there.'” How did Tamra feel about that?
Kelly said, “It’s always better to be friendly and cordial, you know?”
Kelly explained, “The problem with the show is, it’s kinda hard to move forward because you go back into that time that you felt and then you say things to each other via text and you’re like, oh my god. You get mad again. I’m not mad at her, but she’s clearly mad.”
Vicki Gunvalson Thinks Kelly Dodd Is Trying To Be Relevant, Is Not Happy, & Wants Attention
Not only is it tough to watch the show back, but Kelly also feels like Vicki has different priorities. She said, “But you know, she’s all about her men. I’m not like that. I have a lot of girlfriends. I’m not just always stuck with, like, you know, having to have a man. Just, like, my mere focus is [not] having a boyfriend. It’s not.”
During that same interview, Kelly admitted that her main focus at the reunion will be to confront Vicki. She plans to ask, “Why did you tell me [about setting Michael up] and why were you keeping it a secret?” Hasn’t she already asked this? Several times. Oh right, Vicki refuses to give her a straight answer or take responsibility for anything. Ever.
