90 Day Fiance Star Jay was recently the victim of a hoax that, thankfully, was quickly debunked. An imposter, posing as Jay on Instagram, was allegedly sending suggestive message, and then claimed that the recipient was an underage girl. They attempted to go public before quickly deleting their IG account.
According to John Yates, a reality TV blogger with a wealth of information, the screenshots of the alleged flirting was sent to @90dayfiancesavageedition in order to get maximum exposure on the story. @90DayFianceSavageedition temporarily posted two of the exchanges, then deleted one of them explaining, “I’ve removed the previous post because I believe the drama was fake.” The remaining post shows a screenshot of what the sender claimed Jay had written. The texts read, “Fine little momma. How can you be so fine? You unruly w ya eyes. You need a prince to spoil you. How old are you little momma?”
Yates wrote, “an idiot was trying to get Jay in trouble by posing as him and flirting with an underage 16 year old girl on IG. Then they sent it to 90 Day Fiance Savage to leak and they posted it, but as you can see clearly this person was messaging Jay, not the other way around.” @90dayfiancesavage also concluded that the messages were not sent by Jay and wrote, “this is the ss the “16 year old” took of what Jay set her. Notice it’s on the wrong side, wrong color, and says “seen.”
Understandably appalled by the hoax, Jay’s fiance Ashley responded on her own Instagram. “This is disgusting. I don’t respond to most of the nonsense, but this! This is something that can ruin someone’s life! Trying to make Jay look like a child predator! I will pray for you! You need serious help!”
