Aside from opening her third restaurant and supporting all of her other business endeavors, it’s clear that Kandi Burruss’s main storyline on Real Housewives of Atlanta Season 11 is her desire to have another child.
She and her husband Todd Tucker each have a daughter from previous relationships in addition to their son Ace Wells Tucker who was born in 2016.
In the trailer for Season 11, Kandi gets emotional during a doctor’s visit. Unfortunately, that makes it seem like the journey to another child is a difficult one for the Real Housewife of Atlanta. However, there is some hope on the horizon.
In an interview with Us Weekly, Kandi revealed, “We’ve decided we wanted to … get a surrogate.” She added, “We did find someone, and right now we are in the process — you know it hasn’t been done — but we’re in the process.”

Kandi shared, “We have two embryos that are still left from when we had Ace. So, we have two embryos left and we know they’re girls.” Does that mean that Kandi and Todd might try with both embryos and end up with twins? It is possible.
Even though surrogacy is the method that Kandi and Todd have chosen to expand their family, she still has some trepidation. She explained, “I don’t have anybody who can tell me [about it]. When we were going through the IVF process, I did have a couple of friends who had done it, so, you know, I could talk to them, but this is a situation where I don’t have anybody I can talk to.”
