This season of Below Deck delivers week after week, much like Chef Adrian Martin’s cooking. Well, that is until tonight’s episode. The Below Deck crew deals with some majorly picky and stuck up charter guests.
Plus, we pick up right where last week’s Below Deck episode left off with Ashton Pienaar’s man overboard incident. This was the most-teased scene of the season. Of course, we were stuck with a cliffhanger last week. They wanted to drag this out as long as possible, which is a shame, considering how serious the incident was. Thankfully, Ashton is OK!
There’s no better way to put a life-threatening accident into perspective than with some petty drama, right? Well, no, that’s not right, but that is what’s going to happen on tonight’s Below Deck episode.

Chef Adrian decides to make “comforting food for the guests,” who do not want chicken. They did not indicate this on their preference sheet, but they still expected him to anticipate their desires. One of the guests actually declares “Chicken is what poor people eat.” Yikes. That is a beyond cringe-worthy statement. That will be embarrassing to watch back. Hopefully their friends are not Bravo viewers. Then again, who wants to be friends with non-Bravo viewers. Thanks, but no thanks.
Aside from #chickengate, new Third Stew Laura Betancourt continues to irk Kate Chastain and criticize the yacht conditions. Laura proclaiming that she used to be a First Stew is starting eclipse Rhylee Gerber’s “I was a captain in Alaska” as the most repetitious line of the season.
