Billie Lee Discusses Girls Night In Drama; Denies Calling Castmates Transphobic

Thanks to Billie Lee, viewers were finally treated to some drama on this weeks episode of Vanderpump Rules. To be honest, this season has been a bit of a bore. Lala Kent, Ariana Madix and Scheana Marie used to stand up to the mean girls clique of Stassi Schroeder, Katie Maloney and Kristen Doute. But now all the girls have united under a common goal of taking down James Kennedy. Lame. But not Billie! She is making some noise and standing up for her friend.

Billie accurately pointed out to Lisa Vanderpump and the rest of the Pump Rules staff that James’ See You Next Tuesday event brings in a ton of business. And when Kristen shows up at SUR, she instigates James. Billie also confronted Katie and Kristen as to why they decided to show up for brunch at SUR. Needless to say, Katie was not happy about this.

So, Katie decided to be passive aggressive and invite all the girls from SUR, except for Billie, over to her apartment to plan her version of See You Next Tuesday, called Girls Night In. When Billie found out, she took to social media and implied she wasn’t included because she is trans. This lead to accusations from fans online that Katie and the other girls were transphobic.

In an interview with Entertainment Tonight, Billie made it clear she did not say they were “transphobic.” She stated, “I never once said that. I had so many trans people reach out to me and say, ‘I deal with transphobia at the workplace all the time. I deal with this. Keep your head up.’”

Billie wished the girls had approached her differently once they found out she was upset. She said, “Instead of one of them reaching out to me and saying, ‘I understand. Let’s just talk about this. What’s going on? I didn’t mean this. I didn’t mean to exclude you.’ Instead, they immediately became the victim[s].” She added, “…it was just attacking and I just never got to talk about my feelings.”

At the end of the interview, Billie took the high road and apologized to Katie for making comments about her weight. She said, “I do apologize about the fat card. I think Katie has an amazing body.” She continued, “I think she is beautiful…I just think that she should’ve been a little more aware of her surroundings and not so self-involved so she can include other people.”

I’m glad that Billie apologized to Katie, but I loved every minute of her standing up for herself and James to the rest of the group. Keep it coming, Billie!
