If you’ve watched every season of Vanderpump Rules then you know what a train wreck Jax Taylor is. However, to everyone’s surprise, it only took a girl with a heavy southern drawl, and the patience of a saint, to get him to settle down.
But are Jax and Brittany Cartwright really as happy as they seem? If you believe Tom Schwartz they are.
Jax and Brittany hit a bit of a rough patch last season when we all learned Jax cheated on her. I for one was so shocked. <side eye>
However, we saw them get back together and Jax even popped the question. I’m sure I’m not alone in wondering if these two are as happy as they seem, but fear not. Tom is here to lay all your warranted fears to rest.
According to an article from Life & Style, Tom had a sweet response when he was asked if his friends were getting married for the right reasons. “Me personally, 100 percent,” he said.
Many of us have watched Tom and his wife Katie Maloney, struggle with their relationship throughout the seasons. And he sees many similarities between the two couples.

“Me and Katie went through it for many, many years. Off and on, we had separated a few times throughout our relationship,” he explained. He continued, “But I’m glad we put in the work, I’m glad, because I’m happier than ever right now…”
Tom is a sweet guy who I’ve always liked. As far as Katie goes my feelings bounce back and forth between rooting for her and wanting her to shut up. Yet, neither one has done the awful things Jax has done. Cheating on every girl he’s ever dated. Sitting in a girlfriend’s AA meeting then choosing to dump her RIGHT AFTER she divulges her personal struggles. Literally, right on the curb outside the meeting.
Then there was the whole sleeping with your best friend’s girlfriend, who also happens to be your ex-girlfriend’s best friend. Then acting like a smug jerk after it all comes out.
It says something when EVERY one of your friends, who have known you for years, seem to like your new girlfriend more than you.
However, Tom thinks these two are the real deal, “Of course no couple’s perfect,” he admitted. Then, he explained, “but just the way I see them talk to each other…they just seem so genuinely happy and respectful of each other, and they are in love.”

I genuinely hope that’s true because, in my opinion, Jax loves attention. Maybe right now he’s loving the positive attention that being with someone as nice as Brittany earns him. I imagine playing the villain grew old after a while.
Let’s all keep our fingers crossed that this beast has finally met the beauty who could show him the error in his rotten ways. Or, at least, shown him the error of his ways after he’d already cheated on her too.
