Vanderpump Rules star Lala Kent has a reputation for being tough. She stood her ground when she was bullied by Katie Maloney, Kristen Doute and Stassi Schroeder. However, that toughness has also translated into being combative at times. Lala got into several heated arguments with Billie Lee and Raquel Leviss that resulted in her shouting and clapping her hands in their faces.
At the same time, Lala can be very vulnerable. She has openly discussed her anxiety issues. She also has a soft spot for her friends. Even though she and James Kennedy are on the outs, she decided to be a kind person like her father was, and she let James know she is still there for him. But now it seems that she is the one who needs a friend to lean on.
Lala took to social media and posted an emotional message about her father and how she has coped since he passed. She began, “Tonight you will see a small part of the pain I feel since my dad passed away. I think about him every minute of everyday. I cry often.” Perhaps this is why she lashed out at James, Billie and Raquel?
She added, “I know tonight’s episode may get more attention for my “break up” with Rand, rather than how I am dealing with the death of my father.” Lala is referring to her “man,” Randall Emmett. In the most recent episode of Pump Rules, a tearful Lala informed Katie and Brittany Cartwright that she had decided to separate from him.
Lala then provided some insight into how she has been dealing with her father’s death. She said, “I still call his phone and leave a message. I do whatever I possibly can to feel peaceful. There is so much that I want to tell him.”

She then shared advice to others who are in the same situation. Lala noted, “But it’s important for me to tell anyone who is going through such devastation, this- you are not alone. Your pain is real and it is foreign. You are not judged for how you choose to seek comfort.“
However, Lala seems to be coming to terms with her new reality. She said, “I’ve learned that the passing of my dad will never be something that gets easier with time. My heart will never be whole again. My life will always feel emptier than before- but each day I will find new ways to cope a little better.”
The passing of a loved one is never easy. I’m sure this is why Lala has been more combative with her castmates this season. I hope she can find some inner peace and is able to eventually mend some of her friendships on the show.
