On last night’s episode of Married At First Sight, the couples celebrate a milestone: their one month anniversary. Can you believe they only have three weeks left in the Married At First Sight experiment? It feels like they have been married for several months with all of the crazy ups and downs we have witnessed. One husband ditches his wife on their anniversary. This provokes a MAJOR meltdown. Can you guess which couple? There may not be any way to salvage this marriage after tonight!
Dr. Pepper Schwartz takes the couples out to dinner to celebrate the eve of their one month anniversaries. They discuss marriage and the things they have learned along the way. Each person is asked to rate themselves as a spouse and explain their answers. Stephanie Sersen and AJ Vollmoeller each rate themselves a 9 because they have room for improvement. Ummmm… AJ have you been here with all of us? I don’t care what your wife says. I am giving you a 3.5 for all of your angry outbursts and crazy behavior.
Jasmine McGriff and Will Guess both choose a 7 to represent how they are doing in their marriage. They feel they have grown tremendously as a couple and are learning to compromise.
Kristine Killingsworth gives herself an 8.9. I will give her that. She is paying the lion share of the bills and most of the household duties. I would disagree with Keith Dewar’s 8 rating. It’s way too high for someone so lazy.

Kate Sisk shockingly rates herself a 6.5 and Luke Cuccurullo rates himself a 7.5 as a husband. It’s clear in the moment that everyone feels sorry for Kate. Luke plays coy and asks “Why would you think of yourself like that?” Did he forget he has been emotionally abusing this poor girl and driving her to drink wine by the gallons?
Once they arrive home, Luke questions why Kate rated herself so low as a wife. Hmm… let me guess. Luke, you have basically called her unattractive and an alcoholic. You even said you were “repulsed” by her. What the hell do you expect? Did he want her to say a 10?
Luke is manipulative and clearly likes to play mind games. How do I apply for membership in the “I Hate Luke” club? We can meet every Tuesday after the show. I can’t believe this little leprechaun has this woman believing she isn’t attractive when he is no prize. It broke my heart listening to Kate sound like a victim and waiting for his approval.

He dares during the conversation to bring up her drinking again. She then says that he just recently he stayed out to 3 AM and came home and threw up because he was so wasted. Everyone with half of brain can see that he is using “her drinking” as shield for his true feelings. If you are shallow and just don’t want to give her a real chance, just say that. Don’t taint her reputation. SMH….ARGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!
Jasmine and Will go back to the winery where they got married for their one month anniversary. They both acknowledge that they would marry each other again. Jasmine, you may want to proceed with caution. There is definitely something that is holding your husband back.
While at dinner, Jasmine has the bright idea to ask Will to rate her as a wife. She is NOT happy when he gives her a 6.8, which was lower than her rating of 7. He tries to explain percentages and that his rating is out of 9, since no one is a 10. You can cut the tension with a knife.
AJ and Stephanie go wine tasting to bore us with more fake laughs and weirdly staring into one another’s eyes.
Keith decides to get off the couch and take a cooking class. He definitely gets a gold star for attempting to learn how to cook to please his wife. Aww… our little Keith is growing up before our very eyes. Kristine is surprised to find roses and the dinner he cooked when she meets him. You can see the happiness all over her face in response to his gesture.

Kate has an emotional breakdown when Luke ditches her to hang out with his friends on their anniversary. I guess she is the only one who didn’t see that coming. She was hopeful, despite their problems, that he would make an effort on their special day. But…. Girl… the man doesn’t like you.
It doesn’t matter if it’s an anniversary or a regular day. That isn’t going to make him want to be with you. At this point, her attempts to win over her husband seem pathetic. I really hope her friends and family schedule an intervention and reprogram her from all the negative things she has been through in her marriage.
Luke finally walks in and she greets him with a smile and asks him where he has been. She is good… my greeting would have been MUCH different. He explains he went out with friends because she seemed upset the night before. Huh? He could have at least taken her out or given her flowers.
Luke keeps telling her he wants to make their marriage work, but his actions say something completely different. I am starting to believe he is a sociopath who enjoys messing with women’s minds. Good luck getting anyone to partake in your speed dating business after this show.
