Real Housewives of Atlanta fans have been vocal about their desire to see some familiar faces return to the show. I am talking about you, Phaedra Parks and Kenya Moore. I think that seeing Kenya as a new mom would be interesting. Twirl on back, Kenya! If Kenya can attend former enemy frenemy Porsha Williams’ baby shower, isn’t anything possible in Bravo land?
Kenya and her camera-shy husband Marc Daly welcomed their daughter, Brooklyn Doris, on November 4, 2018. Brooklyn was born sooner than anticipated because Kenya was diagnosed with the life-threatening medical condition preeclampsia. In fact, Kenya endured a three-hour C-section, which sounds traumatic and very painful.
So, what has Kenya been up to besides clapping back at haters criticizing her post- baby snap-back? Apparently, being thrown out of restaurants for changing Brooklyn’s diaper. Kenya took to Instagram to make some cash detail her experience with her followers. “Last week when I was traveling with Brooklyn, I got kicked out of a restaurant for changing her diaper! OMG, I was so embarrassed. I had no idea about these rules!” Kenya added, “As a new mama, I’m learning new things every day. The @peanut app has been an amazing support for me to connect with other new moms that can give me a heads up, advice and a sense of community.”
Fair enough, but don’t family and friends also share information with new parents? “The app introduces you to women in your neighborhood based on the things you have in common—interests, mutual friends, age/gender of your children, and so much more! I used @peanut to ask how to find a good nanny, how old Brooklyn has to be to start eating food, is this a rash or eczema, and where else can’t I change her diaper LOL!” Kenya posted on Instagram along with an adorable photo of her and her daughter.

According to an article in Atlantic Black Star, in December of 2018, Wendy Williams said on her show that Kenya was allegedly being paid a paltry $6,000 for the first pictures of baby Brooklyn. Kenya clapped back at Williams in her Instagram Story. “$6k? Hmmm My baby doesn’t get out of bed for less than $1M. Cut it out!” I guess Brooklyn hasn’t been pulling her weight in the financial department if Kenya is promoting this new app.
While many of Kenya’s Instagram followers were supportive of the newbie mother, some others questioned Kenya’s knowledge. “There are certain things that’s just plain common sense. Who wants to be enjoying a meal and smell something obnoxious. There’s no place for that whether a new mom or not, it’s plain old etiquette…” one follower posted. It is hard to argue with that.
So, will we ever get to see Kenya clutch a peach again on RHOA? In an article in People, Kenya stated “Never say never. Hopefully, things will be able to work out and viewers will be able to see me come full circle.”
