Season 11 of Real Housewives of New York is already delivering drama- both onscreen and off. And, as usual, Ramona Singer is at the center of the controversy. First, she called out Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Lisa Vanderpump for not attending Andy Cohen’s baby shower. Then Ms. Turtle Time got busy stealing the RHONY premiere party to promote her new skincare line. Oh, Ramona!
What is going on with the Housewives and their premiere parties lately? LVP arrived at the Season 9 RHOBH premiere party before anyone else and left before Kyle Richards could confront make amends with her. Perhaps Bravo should have the cameras rolling at these premiere parties to document all the juicy drama.
According to an article from Page Six, most of the ladies skipped the season premiere party at Pomona because of Ramona’s push to publicize her business venture. Sources allege that Ramona’s fellow Housewives called her “greedy” and “devious” because she “hijacked” the celebration.
In the past, the parties were planned by the entire cast, and each star submitted their own guest list to Bravo. But this year’s party was different. Very different. A source claims that Ramona sent out invitations that featured the name of her skincare line, “Ageless,” in large print, followed by her name. This was also larger than the other type. Her costars were only allowed to invite a “handful” of guests. A guest at the event explained that within the party, there was apparently a private dinner to celebrate to the skincare line. However, not all the guests were invited. How does that even happen?

Luann De Lesseps popped by to take pictures before ditching the party. The only other RHONY star who attended the skincare launch premiere party was Tinsley Mortimer. Bethenny Frankel was a no-show, but she is going through a brutal custody battle. I think that was a wise decision. Ramona will no doubt call out Bethenny again for not supporting women.
Dorinda Medley and Sonja Morgan refused to attend the event. An inside source said, “Sonja and Dorinda were so mad at her. They love her dearly, but they were both furious.” Another source stated, “It’s not about not supporting Ramona and her business. They’re proud of Ramona and they’re proud of all of the cast. But there’s a time and a place.”
The source added, “That party is for coming together to celebrate a successful season with the other women and all the people — the stylists, the interns, the assistants, the people who loan them clothes, the dog groomer — who support them. She hijacked the whole thing and totally killed the spirit of it.” What a buzzkill!
