If you’ve tried to pump that season eleven trailer of The Real Housewives of New York directly into your veins as much as I have, then I’m sure you’re well aware Ramona Singer’s infamous ex Mario Singer will make his first cameo on the show since 2011. A couple years ago, the RHONY OG discovered her husband of 22 years had been cheating on her through an article from Page Six. The woman in question was 27 at the time. However, it’s safe to say her and Mario’s affair did not age like a fine wine.
No one was happier to hear of this than Countless Luann de Lesseps, who’d been needled by Ramona for years over her own crumbling marriage and eventual divorce from then-husband. Even though she avoided commenting on the betrayal as long as she could, inevitably Ramona filed for divorce as well in 2014. After nearly a decade away from the cameras, the sharp-tongued former househusband will return. But will they be on good terms?
Ramona and Dorinda Medley did a recent People interview. Ramona said, “He’s in town like once a week every month for his business. And when he’s in town he sees [daughter] Avery [Singer] every night – he’s a really great father.”
Ramona continued, “And at this point, we have such a great relationship. I’ll go out one night with him for dinner. So he stopped by. And it was like being back home again, you know?”

Surprisingly enough, the other housewives, including Luann, were open to his return. Ramona shared, “Sonja was like ‘oh my god Mario’, and Luann was very receptive.” I personally think it’s because our favorite stag-wielding wack job Sonja Morgan, as well as #countessandfriends Luann D’Agostino, truly Support. Other. Women.
Mario, similarly to Ramona, can certainly walk around as if his sh*t doesn’t stink. Plus he’s armed with a biting tongue rival to the big B herself, Bethenny Frankel. However, as it turns out, the man actually smells good!
Apparently, the Ramona Coaster was able to get a good sniff or two of him while they were filming. She admitted, “I go: Do you smell as good as I remember? Yeah. He smells good.” Huh. Wonder if he smells like grapefruit too…
