Real Housewives of New Jersey fans should admire Danielle Staub’s hustle. Her fiasco wedding to Marty Caffrey was filmed for Season 9, even though Danielle was once again only a Friend of The Housewives. Jersey girls Teresa Giudice, Margaret Josephs, and Melissa Gorga were part of the bridal party, and witnesses to Danielle’s bridezilla demands.
The doomed wedding was quickly followed by an acrimonious divorce, which was finally settled in February of 2019. In what seems like record time, Danielle was not only dating, but back in a serious relationship. Maybe now Danielle can be upgraded to full-time Housewife?
Danielle started dating businessman Oliver Maier, and soon rumors were flying that Danielle had stolen Oliver away from his girlfriend. Oliver later came out and explained that his previous relationship had ended before he started dating Danielle. Keeping it classy, Danielle revealed that she was engaged to Oliver one week after her divorce was finalized. That means Danielle has been proposed to a table-flipping 21 times! In an article in People, Danielle confirmed that the duo planned to get hitched at a Justice of the Peace in New York City just a few days after they became engaged.
Oliver, who is French and German, is also the Duke of Provence. If Danielle weds him, she will become a duchess. That’s right –Danielle will be a duchess. But the couple decided to put a hold on their lightening-speed wedding plans. There is some confusion as to whether the couple has totally called it quits or just pumped the breaks. But never fear —RHONJ royalty, and relationship experts, Melissa and husband Joe Gorga, are giving their thoughts on Danielle’s love life. This couple is also known for keeping it classy, like when Joe told the world that he and his wife had sex every day for 10 years.
According to an article in US Weekly, Melissa and Joe discussed the engagement at Melissa’s 40th birthday party in New York City. “Danielle is obviously different from the rest of us. She’s been engaged more than I can find a boyfriend in my life, so she either has a golden situation below the waist or …” Melissa said. “The ‘golden goose,’ they call it,” Joe added. Ewww!

“Obviously Danielle knows something I don’t know because she’s been engaged a thousand times. She’s all over the place at this point,” Melissa stated. “We’ll see what happens with her.” Us Weekly reports that Danielle and Oliver had broken up, but later reconciled.
Melissa also has concerns about her husband’s sister, Teresa, being besties with Danielle. “I’m trying to tell Teresa to pick her people wisely, and I’m very good at that and Teresa is not very good at that, so I’m trying to teach her about that,” Melissa explained. Good luck with that, Melissa.
Danielle has been married a total of three times (so far). She shares her two daughters, Christine Staub and Jillian Staub, with ex-husband Thomas Staub.
