Season 9 of Real Housewives of Beverly Hills certainly has focused on one issue—what happened to Lucy Lucy Apple Juice. We all know that Dorit Kemsley and her husband, PK Kemsley, violated their adoption contract with Vanderpump Dogs by re-homing Lucy rather than returning her to Lisa Vanderpump’s organization. Lucy nipped the children and PK, so it is understandable that Dorit had to make some hard decisions. But Dorit had previously returned a dog to Vanderpump Dogs, so she should have known the rules. Somehow poor Lucy ended up in a kill shelter. If only Dorit had read the contract that she signed, or just given the dog back, all of this would have been avoided. And we would instead be speculating about why Harry Hamlin is spending so much time in the Canadian wilderness without wife Lisa Rinna. (Sorry, Rinna!)
Dorit and PK are under mounting financial pressure, so it isn’t shocking that they didn’t pay Vanderpump Dogs the $5,000 fee for violating the contract. “Puppy gate” has rippled through the entire RHOBH cast. Teddi Mellencamp Arroyave says that Lisa instructed employees John Sessa and John Blizzard share information about Dorit’s dastardly deed with Teddi. Kyle Richards believes, along with every other Beverly Hills Housewife, that Lisa leaked the story about Dorit to the press.
Dorit went to E! Daily Pop to share her feelings about the Lucy drama. Dorit admitted that she was shocked about how big the “puppy gate” issue had become. “God no, it was never an issue,” Dorit said. Oh, Dorit. How could you think that Lucy ending up in a shelter wasn’t a big deal to animal-lover LVP?
Dorit told hosts Morgan Stewart and Justin Sylvester that she was sure that the story was planted by Lisa, or an associate of hers, because of the details that were revealed. “I think that certain people are crafty, and they get whatever message they want out there. You have to look at the article and see who it benefits and then put two and two together,” Dorit explained.
Dorit admitted to being hurt when she read the story. She said, “It feels like you’re stabbed in the heart 10 times. You think aside from the fact that this hurts, my friendship is at stake.”
Dorit previously told Entertainment Tonight that she is open to mending her friendship with Lisa. “You know, I’m an easy, easy girl to repair things with. It just takes an apology or a conversation that’s true and honest and real, and two people that want to. You know? And I’m always up for trying to repair something, always.”

So how does Dorit feel about the upcoming RHOBH reunion? Dorit told the E! Daily Pop hosts that she is ready for Lisa if Lisa attends. But after that terrible fight on RHOBH between Lisa, her husband Ken Todd, and Kyle, I am not sure that Lisa will.
Dorit stated, “She’s going to show up if she wants to…I have no issues about being face-to-face…I’ve got receipts and I know the facts, I’ve got nothing to hide, so I’m free and clear, happy to be sitting there at the reunion, but other people that don’t, may have a different feeling.” It sounds like this is going to be a fiery reunion. Maybe host Andy Cohen should have a miniature couch so Lucy Lucy Apple Juice can attend?
