I don’t think that anyone can dispute that Season 11 of Real Housewives of Atlanta has been a difficult one for NeNe Leakes. She ordered her fellow Atlanta Housewives to stay out of her closet during a get-together (I’m looking at you, Porsha Williams and Kandi Burruss!) Obviously, they didn’t, which enraged NeNe and cost a cameraman his shirt. And we still don’t know for sure if NeNe pulled off then-pregnant Porsha’s belt. NeNe has severed ties with most of her RHOA co-stars. She is actually very unhappy with former bestie Cynthia Bailey. Next time Cynthia had better give NeNe a copy of the guest list (if there is a next time!)
At Eva Marcille’s wedding, NeNe told Cynthia that she and husband Gregg Leakes had discussed separating. Gregg has been battling colon cancer, and the stress from his illness led to marital discord. Gregg took responsibility for his behavior and publicly apologized to NeNe. NeNe even wondered if Gregg getting cancer was karma for him cheating on her. It was hard to watch the couple bicker as they grappled with Gregg’s diagnosis.
NeNe recently took to her Instagram to share some positive news. “This all started May 5th 2018…It’s been a long emotional ride for our entire family! Listen up American…..TODAY my husband @greggleakes has completed 6 months of chemotherapy! Awesome job hunni!”
NeNe added, “I’m so happy for you and the strength you showed during this difficult time in your life! PS: Thank you to all of our family, friends, fans, doctors and nurses who lifted us up in constant prayer, sent recipes, doctors info, gave advice and gifts! We love you.” What wonderful news.

“PSS: what a relief! We finally get to share with the world what we’ve been going thru,” NeNe concluded.
So, what was on the agenda after Gregg finished treatment? A celebratory house party! NeNe wrote about the gathering in another Instagram post. (This post has some grammar and spelling issues.)
NeNe shared, “The celebration continued! Gregg wanted an ole sckool kitchen house party like yo momma would have back in the day! Nope not the basement! When i tell you we had a ball…It was EVERYTHING!”

NeNe posted some video footage of the party, and it looked amazing! Hopefully, all the guests stayed OUT of NeNe’s closet.
I am glad that Gregg has completed chemo. I wish both NeNe and Gregg the best as they continue his journey to wellness.
