Former Shahs of Sunset cast member Jessica Parido is now a mom. No, you didn’t miss her pregnancy announcement. She just didn’t actually make one.
Instead, she waited to let people know about her big news after she gave birth…. but months later. One person who wasn’t in the dark about her pregnancy was her ex-husband Mike Shouhed. She let him in on the secret early on.
Surprise! Surprise! On Apri l15, Jessica shared the big baby news on Instagram. She revealed, “On February 23, 2019 My little miracle Boy was born. Since I was 15 years old I was told that the high doses of chemotherapy I got to fight my leukemia would cause me to be sterile. It was something I struggled with accepting for years.”
Jessica continued, “After 15 years and countless specialists I accepted the fact I would never have children of my own. God had other plans for me. The level of shock and disbelief I had when I found out I was pregnant naturally was unimaginable.”
Then she admitted, “I had spent half of my life believing I would never feel these feelings. To say this came without struggle would be a lie. The traditional family I’ve dreamed of my entire life is not something I have. The vision of love, marriage then baby I had wanted is gone.”

After, she explained her decision to keep this time private. Jessica wrote, “I decided to keep my pregnancy off of social media and enjoy the time without the opinions and comments of others. I contemplated never posting about it and carrying on but IM A MOM, I have a son, a beautiful little miracle who I’ll cherish the rest of my life and to not share this would be not sharing me.”
One person that she did share this news with was her ex-husband. Mike told Page Six, “I got a call from Jessica while she was in her third or fourth month of pregnancy.”
Believe it or not, he wasn’t even too shocked. Mike explained, “I had a feeling in my heart and in my gut that she was pregnant.” Why did he think she might be pregnant. Mike said, “I noticed she wasn’t really posting on Instagram, and I just had a feeling.”

How did Mike feel about the news? Mike said, “Not even one ounce of negativity ran through my emotions or my mind.” He told Jessica, “I’m very happy for you. Congratulations, and I’m here for you if you need anything.”
