What a difference one month makes. Especially for 90 Day Fiance couple Ashley Martson and Jay Smith. For this dysfunctional pair, thirty days is an exponentially long time not to have SOME marital issue. Like dog years but with a lot of controversy and Instagram posts, neither of which are aging well.
They’ve certainly made every effort to keep fans in the loop about their relationship drama from withdrawn divorce petitions to leaked wedding photos. The last we heard, Jay was stepping it up as a husband and supporting Ashley through her recovery from kidney failure. Apparently, the good times didn’t last long.
Since this couple was introduced on Season 6, their whole storyline has been about infidelity and trust issues. Ashley had a falling out with her best friend Natalie over Jay’s behavior overseas. At the time of filming Ashley said, “when she went to Jamaica with me, Natalie accused Jay of cheating on me. She claims that she heard Jay say he was having sex with two other women. Which, she had no proof of anything — just her word.”
Ashley was unconvinced. She said, “maybe I don’t care what Jay does when I’m not over there. What he does in Jamaica when I’m not there is not my business. Honestly, if Jesus came down from heaven right now and said he cheated on me, I wouldn’t do anything about it. But if Jay cheats on me here in the U.S., I would have to send him packing and back home.”

Ashley first accused Jay of infidelity after she caught him communicating with another woman on Tinder. Even worse, was that he had created the account just after their wedding. Ashley forgave him and decided to move on. Perhaps it’s time to rethink that decision because Ashley is again claiming that Jay has strayed.
On April 15, Ashley posted a message to her Instagram. She tagged Jay and wrote, “It’s all fun and games until I get your disgusting cheating ass deported. Have fun at the strip club with MY money and MY care you’re driving around without a license!” Ashley has since deleted this post but reality TV blogger John Yates shared a screenshot.
Distractify.com covered the story and shared a quote from an insider to InTouch Weekly. The source claims that Ashley is done with the marriage saying, “Ashley is indeed filing for divorce after catching Jay cheating yet again. She has reached her breaking point and this is the final straw. She feels like she was an opportunity for him and she is hurt and disgusted.”

The insider continued, “she also feels like he manipulated her and is saddened he cheated multiple times. Due to him not being a citizen, once she proceeds with the divorce he could potentially be deported.”
Fans of the show seem to be skeptical of this turn of events. Ashley has already admitted that TLC asked that she and Jay pretend they were separated for the sake of ratings. With the premiere of 90 Day Fiance: Happily Ever After? on April 28th, many are labeling this as another publicity stunt.
