Homeownership is in the air! The first Vanderpump Rules couple to enter the fray was Tom Sandoval and Ariana Madix. While the rest of the cast upgraded to expensive apartments, Tom and Ariana stayed put in order to save money for a home.
They must have saved a pretty penny too because Ariana and Tom ended up buying a $2 million dollar home. That’s a big step up from a place where you couldn’t run the A/C and microwave at the same time. So who is up next in the crew to buy a home? Surprisingly, it’s half the cast.
I say surprisingly because none of the other cast members seem like they are capable of saving money. And in Los Angeles, you need at least a million bucks to buy a two bedroom shack. But, it looks like the crew can save money after all. In an interview with Bravo Home & Design, Brittany Cartwright and Jax Taylor discussed their recent home purchase.
Jax said, “We just bought a house and I’ve been pulling back maybe a little bit more than I should, but we’re just feeling it out.” Brittany chimed in, “Yeah, we’re buying a house!” This new purchase is also why Jax has “been hesitant to book an extravagant honeymoon.” Sigh. You know Jax is going to throw the cost of the ring, wedding, engagement party, and mashed potato bar in Brittany’s face for the rest of her life. Y’all, fairytales do come true!
The next couple to enter homeownership is Katie Maloney and Tom Schwartz. That’s right, the man who wrote a fifty thousand dollar check that bounced is able to purchase a home. Must have been all of Katie’s money. In an interview with Bravo Home & Design, Katie and Tom discussed their drama moving out of their apartment.

Katie stated, “Oh god, packing sucks!” She always looks on the bright side doesn’t she? Then “in a video on Instagram that showed towering stacks of boxes” Tom said, “Pre-move is a lawless land, it’s a lawless land.” I don’t know what he’s on but I’d like to have some for the next time I move.
And finally, Kristen Doute joined the club. Kudos to her for purchasing a home on her own! You know her boyfriend Brian Carter didn’t add a cent to that down payment. He finally just started to pay half her rent.
In an interview with Bravo Home & Design, they reported that Kristen is “giddy about achieving this huge goal.” She said to her Instagram followers, “Guess what today is? I get the keys to my house today!” She also showed her dogs their new home. They congratulated their mom by “pooping on the carpet.”

One of Kristen’s friends “also posted a video, congratulating her on being a homeowner.” Kristen replied, “I’m scared shitless.” As Yoda said, “You will be.” When that Pump Rules cashflow ends, the only income they’ll have left to pay their mortgages will be from failed t-shirt lines and Meemaw’s beer cheese. Let’s hope they keep saving that money.
