Texicanas Premieres Tonight On Bravo!

Even though Bravo is essentially the Real Housewives network, there are other shows. Tonight is the premiere of Texicanas. Format-wise, it’s similar to the Real Housewives franchise. It focuses on a group of women in a major city. In this case, it’s a group of Mexican women living in San Antonio, Texas.

Unlike the Real Housewives shows, Texicanas has one narrrator. Penny Ayarzagoitia shares her point of view throughout the series. But don’t worry, the other cast members have their own on-camera interviews too.

The Texicanas premiere begins with an off-camera producer asking Penny about the aftermath of a cast trip. Yes, they argue on the cast vacations just like the Real Housewives do. Hopefully, they don’t have silly arguments about room selections as well. That’s one thing from the Real Housewives franchise that I don’t mind parting with.

Penny begins to talk about the drama that stemmed from a group text message gone wrong. However, the show rewinds back time two months earlier to fill in the backstory. Mayra Farret hosts an over the top Cinco de Mayo party.

What else can we expect from the premiere? Luz Ortiz shares less than complimentary opinions about Mayra. Weirdly enough, that doesn’t deter Mayra’s close friends Lorena Martinez and Karla Ramirez from hanging out with Luz. How will Mayra feel about this? Single mom Anayancy Nolasco wants to plan a charity event and gets help from Mayra.
