You might remember Real Housewives of New York star, Bethenny Frankel, was married for a hot minute. Well, it was long enough to get a spin-off… If you blinked, you missed Bethenny and her five seconds of wedded bliss with Jason Hoppy. The former couple shares a daughter, Bryn, who is the subject of a nasty custody battle. So far, Bryn has grown up only knowing of her parents fighting and harassing each other.
Since 2013, Bethenny and Jason have engaged in mutual mudslinging in a courtroom war that has outlasted their actual marriage. Neither party seems willing to compromise. Currently, Bethenny wants sole custody of her daughter. After throwing down some heavy accusations on Jason’s alleged nasty attitude, Bethenny was recently forced to evaluate some of her own nasty attitudes. You know, because she is consistently filmed yelling at people on a television show.
Bethenny has accused Jason of abuse. Subsequently, her liberal use of the word “harassment” was questioned in court. An article from Page Six, shared that Bethenny’s former bestie and ex-castmate, Carole Radziwill’s name came up. Uh-oh…
Jason’s lawyer, Robert Wallack, asked Bethenny if she considered it harassment when Carole smack-talked her by calling her “a master of public promotion” and “quick to insult.”
Bethenny replied, “I don’t think that’s harassment, no. That’s a comment, that’s not calling me a name.” Then attorney cited a Sept. 5 appearance on Watch What Happens Live when Bethenny made some eloquent statements about Carole to host Andy Cohen.

Bravoville filled to the brim with Bethenny yelling at someone. I am still traumatized over her screaming at Sonja Morgan a few years back. Or the lawyer could have reflected on Bethenny going after pre-sober (!) LuAnn de Lesseps at the Berkshires. Anytakeaxanax, point taken, Counselor.
Ultimately the judge shut that line of questioning down. He eventually stopped Bethenny from answering. He told the lawyer to keep his questions to “the relationship between Mr. Hoppy and Ms. Frankel.” I wonder if it has ever crossed Bethenny’s mind to quit filming a reality television show that sometimes doesn’t paint her in the best light?? Yeah, no, I didn’t think so either.

All of this is on the heels of Bethenny claiming Jason sends her “harassing” emails and “manhandles” their daughter. She also accused Jason of abusing their dog.
So this never-ending story goes on to see another day with no closure in sight. As it stands, the custody battle will probably end when Bryn is about 18 years old. Then she can drop her aging parents off at their courtroom play date, and ride off into the sunset.
