Mercedes “MJ” Javid has had an eventful life over the last year. After going through IVF, the Shahs of Sunset star was able to conceive a baby with hubby Tommy Feight in her mid-forties. Following a rough pregnancy which included a miscarriage scare, the Javid-Feights welcomed a baby boy named Shams Francis Feight in April. MJ later revealed that she had serious complications after the birth that resulted in Tommy fearing he would lose her.
Fortunately, MJ made a quick recovery and she and Tommy are even considering having a second child. Already! I guess when you are in your mid-forties, you don’t have much time to spare in planning a family. And one of the people you would expect to be sharing in MJ’s baby joy would be her BFF Reza Farahan. However, Reza recently stopped following MJ on social media and she is spilling some details on the current status of their friendship.
In an interview with US Weekly, MJ shared, “[Reza]and I clearly have some things going on, and that should never have come before me being in ICU and the birth of my son. What I can say is that before I went into the hospital, we were fine.”
What could have happened at the time of the birth that resulted in MJ and Reza fighting? MJ is not giving details, but states, “The feud between Reza and me would never preclude me from doing my show.” Well, now we can all breathe a collective sigh of relief! I can’t imagine anyone thinking that anything would keep MJ from the cameras. Or her show. And of course, she has a duty to all of her loyal fans!

MJ and Reza have been friends since attending Beverly Hills High School together. On Shahs of Sunset, we have watched the volatile duo fight before, but they have always worked things out. MJ is making it clear that she is ready to battle this time. She declares, “Everyone knows I don’t run from confrontation. In fact, I’m the only one who actually faces them in front of cameras, and this issue would be no different.”
Has MJ ever actually watched an episode of Shahs of Sunset? Or a scene with Golnesa “GG” Gharachedaghi in it? Or one of Reza’s dramatic clashes? Maybe MJ just thinks no one brings on the drama like she does, especially in one of her liquor-fueled meltdowns. Which are hopefully over now that she is a mother!

As the new season of Shah’s of Sunset has reportedly started filming, something tells me that all of this will play out for the cameras. We might have to wait for answers to all of our burning questions, but I am sure that MJ will let us in on all the details. Over and over and over, in every talking head.
