It seems that Real Housewives of New Jersey’s alum Jacqueline Laurita and her husband, Chris Laurita, are continuing to experience financial difficulties. Fans haven’t heard very much about their financial issues lately, but Jacqueline has been quick to weigh in on everything else RHONJ.
Jacqueline told the world that the franchise needs “OG” Caroline Manzo back, and that Caroline is the bona-fide “queen of that show.” Jacqueline also criticized former bestie, and current straight-up enemy, Teresa Giudice’s plans to ditch her husband Joe Giudice if he is deported to Italy.
Jacqueline and Chris have been involved in a long and messy bankruptcy case involving their former company, Signature Apparel. In 2009, the company filed for corporate bankruptcy. The couple, and several other people, were accused of using company funds for personal use. Wait–some Bravo stars are living beyond their means? How shocking! Chris was eventually found liable for bankruptcy fraud. Does this situation sound familiar to anyone? (I am talking to you, Teresa and Joe!)
The Lauritas’ Franklin Lakes home was in foreclosure in 2013 and again in 2015. The couple listed their mansion, which was featured on the hit reality show, for $2.85 million in 2014.
According to an article from Page Six, Chris and Jacqueline had to slash their asking price for the home. Citing NJ.com, the mansion is now listed for $1.95 million, and the home is facing foreclosure.
Chris has listed at least 14 items on Facebook marketplace. So, what could you own if you are willing to put up some cash? The list includes a toy storage unit, a crystal chandelier for $5,000, a dining room table, and a distressed leather sofa. But is the dining table able to be flipped easily? That is a must! But a familiar offering for any RHONJ super fan is the infamous poker table which was featured on the show several times. “Needs a little TLC,” Chris captioned the table, stating that he was giving it away for $2,000, but the original price was “over $15k.”

Chris also listed a signed Sopranos photo and a signed Godfather 1 movie poster. Someone already snagged a Donnie Brasco plaque for $300. I wonder if Danielle Staub will buy anything? Probably not.
NJ.com stated that Chris confirmed the Facebook marketplace sale but added that the sale has “nothing to do” with foreclosure. “Why can’t someone write something positive about a family pulling up their bootstraps and moving on to bigger and better opportunities?” Chris stated in a Facebook message. “What we’re doing is a good thing and is best for our families future. We are looking forward to it.”
