Fans and cast members of the Real Housewives of Potomac have watched in confusion this season as Ashley Darby drank copious amounts of alcohol while also announcing that she and Michael Darby were trying for a baby. It wasn’t just the drinking itself, but the fact that Ashley claimed to be abstaining from alcohol, while drinking alcohol. She also took on many holistic approaches to conceiving, such as changing her diet and using a heating pad. Apparently, avoiding the drink was not of those things.
Thankfully, Ashley did manage to conceive and has been enjoying a healthy pregnancy. Ashley and Michael really do look thrilled. The baby is due in July and the happy parents chose to wait to reveal the gender. Unsurprisingly, Michael chose possibly the most adrenaline charged way to go about it.
Last week, Ashley posted a video on her Instagram of Michael skydiving. While aloft, he opened a bag of colored powder and let the contents blow out so Ashley could see it from the ground. Ladies and gentleman, it’s a boy!
Ashley posted, “here it is my darlings! Mickey and I are so happy to share this incredible news with you, as we prepare for this amazing gift to come into our lives! We are BEYOND WORDS excited!”

Ashley’s castmates shared their excitement at the news. Newlywed Candiace Dillard wrote, “I TOLD YOU! Congratulations!” Will Candiace be next by the way?
Monique Samuels apparently has put some of the conflict between herself and Ashley from last season aside. She wrote, “congrats!!! Omg that was the best gender reveal ever!!!!”
Gizelle Bryant joked that, as a mother of three girls, “I have no advice to give but either way this is awesome.” Ashley replied, “lol just provide some babysitting and that’ll be great!”

Will Baby D make an appearance on the next season of the show? It would be interesting to see a pregnant Ashley onscreen.
