The Real Housewives of Potomac’s trip to New Orleans was out of this world. The drama between the group was more intense than ever. Candiace Dillard got slammed for speaking about Ashley Darby’s fertility journey. Plus, Karen Huger and Gizelle Bryant went at it for the millionth time. However, we are finally heading back to Potomac where things are looking to heat up even more.
Candiace and Robyn Dixon still haven’t exposed the shocking secret about Michael Darby. Once this comes out, so much chaos will erupt. Also, Katie Rost is still in the mix so anything can happen with her around. Besides the drama, Monique Samuels’ rainbow party is rapidly approaching. Hopefully, the women don’t ruin the even with petty fights and gossip.
Monique’s rainbow party is here and her entire family is in town for the big event! She went through such a devastating loss, and it’s great to see her blessed with a new life.

I feel awful for her because everyone is canceling on her at the last minute. Both Gizelle & Robyn had last minute cancellations. I get that Gizelle’s daughter was sick and Robyn’s son had a game, but this is such a big moment for Monique.
There are so many positive vibes surrounding Monique this season, and I’m really enjoying it. Last season was a little dark between the car accident and the umbrella incident. None of that was a good look for her, so she REALLY needed this redemption season.
Michael got a little too happy to see Juan Dixon at the party. We still don’t know for sure who he made sexually suggestive comments about yet, but my money is on Juan.
If it’s about Juan, that could be why Robyn hasn’t exposed it yet. If it was about someone else, she would be spilling that tea all over the streets of Potomac.
On a positive note, Ashley also went through a miscarriage like Monique did so I’m glad they’ve agreed to move on. Karen said it best when she said everyone’s been through so much loss recently, and they need to set it aside a bit. Preach Grand Dame.
Monique’s mother-in-law took the microphone at the party which made me more than a little nervous. Monique is still wanting an apology from the last party from her, so this could end so badly. I’m not sure why she’d say anything negative at such a bittersweet affair, but who knows.

We’ve seen Candiace’s mom Dorothy ruin many moments this season with her overly aggressive behavior toward her daughter. That is one relationship dynamic that I will never understand.
Thankfully, Monique’s mother-in-law gave a public apology and had nothing but beautiful and kind words for her. It could’ve gone a different direction so I’m glad it ended on an upbeat note.
Candiace shows up to the party and she and Ashley exchange pleasantries. It’s not the time or place for petty shenanigans, so it’s good they didn’t get into it.
Michael gets emotional discussing the baby he and Ashley lost, and I DO feel for them. Despite the weird dynamics of their relationship, I only wish the best for them. Obviously, the miscarriage took a toll on both of them.
Monique opens the floor for anyone to speak about their own journey’s, and Ashley opens up to all of the party guests. Such a powerful moment.
Loss is a horrible thing, and Karen has noticed a change in Ashley. She believes a loss like that can’t help but change a person. Ashley still seems messy to me, but I do see a slight change in demeanor.
She asks Karen to meet one on one so they can begin to mend their relationship. It’s a long shot, but their respective tragedies might be the one thing that brings them closer.
Gizelle’s mom is in town for a visit, and WOW they look so much alike. Gizelle says she gets her shade from her mom, but her dad was pretty shady himself on the NOLA trip.

Her mom doesn’t want to discuss her father at all, and I feel that’s common with many divorced parents. They don’t want to speak to or about each other unless it is 100% necessary.
Gizelle opens up to her mom about her therapy progress and a housing project she is looking into. Hopefully, that goes a lot better than Robyn’s hot mess space. Her project is taking a solid 35 years to complete, and it’s not even close to done.
I can’t deal with Robyn’s solo scenes. They’re not exciting at all on any level. The house, of course, is still not ready to be finished.
The budget keeps skyrocketing, and she is majorly in over her head. Does she even know what she’s doing? This should not take as long as it’s been taking.
This project is apparently supposed to be the proving ground for Robyn and Juan’s relationship, but that concerns me. Their relationship is taking as long to get back on track as it is for this house to finish. Find a new hobby, Robyn.
Monique is glad that her mother-in-law apologized, but she says it won’t be swept under the rug. She calls her out for taking slick shots and jabs, but that doesn’t sit well with her mother-in-law.
Her husband’s mom says she should be able to say whatever she wants when she wants it. That’s not how real life works.
Your age and your status don’t give you the right to blast people whenever you feel like it. That’s not cool. They seemed to come to a resolution to move forward, so hopefully, that sticks.

Ashley and Michael meet with a doctor to help with her fertility issues, and the doctor was a little awkward. However, his weirdness is probably because of the cameras around or maybe Michael creeps him out. Who knows?
Ashley tears up discussing how upset Michael was about losing the baby. He is getting up there in age and that does make it harder to conceive a child. Don’t worry though because Ashley quickly lets us know that Michael’s sperm is NOT the problem here. Good to know.
I know Ashley’s desire for another baby has a positive outcome, but I’m still affected by her story. It’s conflicting because of her messy drama, but nobody should suffer the type of loss that she and Michael have.
Gizelle meets Candiace for lunch at her husband’s restaurant, and she says Candiace can be A LOT. Has Gizelle ever looked in the mirror? She is one of the most extra people across the entire Real Housewives franchise.
Candiace fills Gizelle in about the rainbow party, and she totally mocks Ashley’s speech. Gizelle doesn’t really like how up in Ashley’s business Candiace is getting, and neither do I. Be better Candiace.
UNTIL she decided to mock and make fun of Ashley’s devastating loss, I was on her side. What kind of low blow was that? Loss and grief are things you don’t make light of like that.

She also sells out Monique for speaking on Katie and comparing her to a slave. Candiace, of course, says she didn’t laugh at it, but that’s a lie. Candiace is doing the most right now to cause massive drama in the group.
That entire lunch was basically Candiace bashing everyone for no apparent reason. If Gizelle thinks you’re being too messy, you should probably reevaluate your life.
Ashley and Karen have the WEIRDEST hug with a spa lady. It was the most unusual hug I’ve seen since the RHONJ Season 2 Reunion. It was so long and uncomfortable to watch.
This treatment they’re doing could have a lot of healing for the two of them. The chakra lady is apparently randomly a medium and says Karen’s dad has popped in for a visit. Naturally, this surprise appearance by Karen’s dad leads her to completely break down in tears.
Karen says she needs to find her foundation again after the loss of her parents. It’s apparent it’s still so fresh and painful for her, but healing nonetheless.
My heart breaks for Karen over the loss of both parents. Karen and Ashley are having such a real moment here, and it’s so refreshing. Hearing them open up to each other about their deepest insecurities and challenges is so sad.
Ashley expresses her fear of ending up alone to Karen. It’s so sad that even Karen doesn’t want that for her. Hopefully, this is a step in the right direction for their friendship. Let it be nothing but love and light from this point forward.
TELL US – ARE YOU GLAD TO SEE ASHLEY AND KAREN GETTING ALONG? WHO DO YOU THINK IS THE MESSIEST WOMAN IN THE GROUP? ARE YOU ENJOYING THIS SEASON OF THE REAL HOUSEWIVES OF POTOMAC?
