It is difficult to remember what the Real Housewives of Orange County was like before Kelly Dodd. Love her or loathe her, Kelly has added humor, drama and storylines to the show in a way that her castmates often seem hesitant–or unable to do. Loose cannon Kelly says whatever is on her mind and often does not think about the consequences of doing so. Which of course, makes for a great Housewife!
Kelly has also been open about her love life and shared with viewers the problems in her marriage to Michael Dodd, which eventually led to their divorce. Last season, we saw Kelly jump back into the dating pool, even sucking face with a much older man while the ladies were out to dinner. Time to erase that memory! Earlier this year, Kelly announced she was dating someone new. And apparently her budding relationship is already over.
OK! Magazine reported that Kelly and her plastic surgeon boyfriend Brian Reagan have split. Kelly had made her relationship with Brian Instagram official earlier this year when she began posting about him on the social media site.
Kelly recently shared a mysterious Instagram post that read, “If you love someone, set them free. If they comeback, it means nobody else liked them. Set them free again.” Which isn’t exactly a testament to romance. You have to wonder how people were able to manage their love lives before the age of social media! Who did they tell all of their random thoughts to? And how did they seek revenge on their exes?

Although Kelly’s post was a bit dark, it didn’t explicitly spell out whether or not she and Brian were still an item. However, Kelly being Kelly, she cleared that up quickly. In response to her post, an Instagram user asked Kelly, “Did you break up with your bf?” And Kelly answered simply, “Yes.”
No word on the cause of the breakup so far. Knowing Kelly, we might not have to wait long for answers as she is not hesitant about expressing her feelings on social media. Pity the man with an ex-girlfriend with 600,000 Instagram followers!

Brian is seen in the recently released Season 14 OC trailer, but it is not clear how often he will appear on the show. Of course, I am sure Kelly will have some social media comments to share about him when he pops up this season!
Maybe Bravo could do a dating show with single Kelly in the future. Can you imagine how crazy that would be? Co-stars like Tamra Judge and Shannon Beador could drop in occasionally and offer her some dating advice. And newly demoted enemy Vicki Gunvalson might have some time on her hands to make an appearance or two. Now that is a Bravo show I would definitely watch!
