Minus the big events, like Jax Taylor and Brittany Cartwright’s wedding in Kentucky, the Vanderpump Rules Season 8 details have remained under wraps. Well, minus the gossip that Lance Bass leaked the (alleged) status of Katie Maloney and Tom Schwartz’s marriage.
Lance isn’t the only one leaking the Pump Rules news though. Or at least that is what it seems like. Did Lala Kent spill the beans about a new addition to the show? That’s up for interpretation at this point, but let’s get into the evidence.
To be honest, there is very little evidence. Not only that, but the evidence is actually gone. Thankfully, screenshots and fan accounts exist! Originally, Lala shared a photo with Ariana Madix and woman tagged as Dayna Kathan. At first, it was just shocking to see her hanging out with someone who isn’t a cast member, but that actually might not be the case.
In the caption for Lala’s now-deleted post, she wrote, “Two OG’s & our new bad bitch.” Most people thought that Lala was breaking the news about Dayna joining the show with that caption. Instead of just changing the caption or deleting the comments, she just got rid of the whole post.

It also should be noted that the caption makes zero sense since Ariana and Lala are not original members. Unless you count Ariana dancing in the background while Scheana Marie did her best Britney Spears imitation during her Season 1 musical performances.
However, Dayna still has the post up on her account, minus a misleading caption. She just wrote “poolside powow” instead.

If she looks familiar, it’s because she was actually in an episode last season. She hung out with the guys during their staycation at a California hotel. This was while the girls went to Solvang and Kristen Doute had her iconic tumble to the ground post-wine tasting. That was the most memorable part of the episode, but Dayna was one of the girls who hung out with the guys. She even posted this photo with Tom Schwartz, Tom Sandoval, and James Kennedy from that night. Does this mean that there will be flashback footage to that night shown during Season 8? Most likely.
At this point, we have zero concrete proof and lots of speculation, plus a bit of gossip. Hollywood Life claims that Dayna a “source close to the show” dished on Dayna’s role next season. Apparently Dayna “will bring major drama” for Jax and Brittany. However, this source does not give any specifics.

However, she might not be on an island alone like James pretty much was all last season. She seems to have other friends in the cast. This same source claimed, “Dayna is coming in hot – she is really tight with Stassi [Schroeder], Lala, Katie, and Kristen in particular and has wanted to be a part of the show for a while now.” Of course, she does.
Not only that, but “She’s worked at Sur and been friends with the cast for awhile now, but she doesn’t get along with Brittany or Jax so a lot of the drama will center around that, as she also is friendly with James and Raquel [Leviss]. Her birthday party was filmed already, too.”

If this is true, it sounds a lot more interesting than any of the storylines last season!
