Some people (especially NeNe Leakes) are not at all happy to see Kenya Moore’s return to the Real Housewives of Atlanta. I am not one of those people. Look, I know we were all pissed that Kenya ran off and got secretly married without a camera in sight. We know we weren’t really entitled to be there, but we should have been invited. It’s like when your friend from college who you haven’t talked to in 10 years gets married and you hear about it on Facebook. You probably had no reason to get an invite, and you definitely wouldn’t have traveled to Norman, Oklahoma to sit next to Aunt Bea and eat rubbery chicken. But you’re still indignant that you weren’t invited. Venting for a friend.
Kenya seems to be a true narcissist, with absolutely no regard for tact or social norms. Those character traits make for a terrible human, but a great reality television persona. So great that last season Kenya wasn’t even on the show, but, like, 2/3 of the reunion centered around her appearance at a party.
And now, friends, Kenya’s back and we will be treated to her narcissistic exploits. Case in point: Straight From the A reports that Kenya was kicked out of Marlo Hampton’s wig party for shilling Moore Hair Care Products. I don’t think I need to point out how funny the phrase “wig party” is.
Apparently, Marlo Hampton, long time “friend of,” has launched a new wig line, “HER.” Btw, how many housewife and housewife-adjacent hair-related companies do we need? In addition to Marlo’s wigs and Kenya’s hair products, we have Porsha Williams’ line of extensions and wigs and Candiace Dillard’s (mom’s) extension company.

Anyway, according to Straight From the A, Kenya brought several gift bags of Moore Hair Care products to distribute during Marlo’s wig launch party. Kenya even explained to party-goers that her product is a “healthy alternative” to wearing wigs.
Listen, I’ll say it again. Kenya is great TV. The woman showed up at a product launch pushing a competing product.

I don’t believe for a hot Atlanta minute that Kenya didn’t know exactly what she was doing. Girlfriend wasn’t hoping the attendees would purchase a $20 bottle of shampoo. (Although I just did. I’ll let you know how it works.) She was there because she is clever and crafty and knew it would get her media attention.
Kenya knew her antics would get her something more valuable than a few stray Moore Hair Care customers. That stunt got her prime airtime. She is working for that peach, and I am here for it.
