Shannon Beador has been through an emotional ringer over the last several years. A very painful, public divorce from her ex David Beador played out endlessly on the Real Housewives of Orange County. Viewers watched Shannon struggling with working out the legal details of her split on Season 13. She and David finally settled their divorce earlier this year. After all the divorce drama, Shannon seemed to be moving on, even going out on a date on the show last season.
Shannon was recently spotted with a mystery man after a reported split with Comcast Executive Rick Stanley, but she had not confirmed anything about her current dating status. Now, Shannon is revealing she has a new love interest.
People reports that Shannon’s new man is California native John Janssen. A source told the magazine, “Shannon’s really happy. He’s a great guy, and really adores her. And she is equally smitten. They make a great couple together and have been having a lot of fun.”
Shannon recently shared an Instagram photo of herself with John. If it is on Instagram, it means it’s on. With an official heart emoji stamp of authenticity from Shannon herself!
Both Shannon and John are graduates of the University of Southern California and attended the school at the same time, but did not know each other. He works as a partner at an insurance firm, is divorced and has three children.

So how did the new couple meet? According to People, “the two met through a mutual friend and have been going strong for a few months.” Kudos to Shannon for waiting for a few months to share the news. Some Housewives would have been documenting their first kiss on social media! Like Kelly Dodd, who likes to update her followers on all the details of her on-again, off-again relationship.
Shannon and John have already met each other’s children. Her new man is apparently getting good reviews from Shannon’s daughters Sophie, Stella and Adeline. The source shared, “The girls really like him.” It is difficult to imagine that Shannon would be involved with someone who her daughters did not like as they are the center of her world.

The People insider also revealed, “Everyone is really happy for Shannon. She’s in a really good place. It’s no secret she’s gone through a lot, but she really took the time to work on herself and that opened her up to meeting someone like John. It really is the right guy at the right time.”
After watching the emotional turmoil Shannon went through during the last several seasons of RHOC–OK, pretty much ever since she became a Housewife–it is great to see that she has moved on with her life. When Shannon is not wallowing in misery, she seems like a really fun person who would be a great dating partner.

Does Shannon have boyfriend approval from the Tres Amigas? Shannon posted another Instagram photo of herself with John, Tamra Judge and Eddie Judge, so it would seem at least one Amiga approves. Tamra also posted an Instagram photo of Shannon and John kissing, with the caption, “@shannonbeador in love.” Once Vicki Gunvalson gives her social media thumbs up, Shannon should be good to go!
As Shannon’s relationship seems pretty new, it is not clear if we will see John on the upcoming season of RHOC. Season 14 of the Real Housewives of Orange County begins on August 6th.
