Last week’s episode ended with Ashley Darby finally about to come face to face with her father. The Real Housewives of Potomac are just so good. Although there is so much drama surrounding her and Michael Darby, I hope it all goes well. Speaking of Ashley, the issues with her are breaking up the friendship between Candiace Dillard and Monique Samuels. Of course, Gizelle Bryant is right there to ride the mess train when it comes to Monique.
Meanwhile, Karen Huger is a non factor in the group right now. Hopefully she climbs back into the drama web because I’m missing the Grande Dame. Another lingering question is when Robyn Dixon will reveal who Michael allegedly made the oral sex comment about. TELL US ALREADY. In addition to all of that, Katie Rost is making bold claims about Michael, and her eventual confrontation with Ashley will be epic.
Ashley’s father shuts the door in her face when he realizes who is at his door. She begs for him to speak to her, but THE DOOR IS CLOSED.
She cries in the car and tries to make sense of it all, but it won’t change anything. Her aunt and uncle tried to warn her that he wouldn’t be receptive.
This was probably the worst possible outcome. Ashley got no closure, but at least she knows where her father stands. She can’t learn anything or confront him, but she knows he’s not open to a relationship.

She’s hurt by her father’s actions, but she is glad she got to see him at all. Ashley was able to get a glimpse into where she gets her looks from, and that’s something.
It’s crazy hearing the lengths Ashley’s gone through to get her father’s attention over the years. Nothing she can do or has done will change who he is. This chapter has ended in a very FINAL way.
Robyn’s renovation project is FINALLY finished. I guess hell froze over tonight. Those are words I never expected to say while recapping this season.
Now that the house is finished, Robyn is looking to buy her own dump truck for future projects. Gizelle joins her and is shocked at how much trucks like that cost.
Robyn is in the “discovery phase” which is very reminiscent of how Karen was with her fragrance line. That, of course, gives Gizelle an opportunity to take another dig at Karen.

The ladies take a ride in the truck, and it actually looked so fun. I’m a little jealous right now. I can barely drive my car, but I’d gladly give the truck driver life a shot. Kidding. That’s never happening. Ever.
Robyn asks Gizelle to leave Monique alone at her open house, and Gizelle agrees to behave. She somehow thinks she’s been nothing but nice to Monique.
How is Fantasy Land Gizelle? Is it nice? Gizelle is messy, and we all know she’ll come for Monique’s throat at the party. PREGNANT AND ALL.
Karen spends some time with her baby sister who was the primary caregiver for her ailing parents. They are hosting a private ceremony to celebrate their parent’s lives.
She gives a beautiful speech as white balloons drift up to the sky in honor of their parents. It was a cute and sweet moment and a necessary part of Karen’s grief process. She looks like she’s in a much better place than she was earlier in the season.

Monique invites a CPR instructor to her home for the family to all learn how to do it. I love Monique’s family scenes. They come across so genuine and her life is a total zoo, but it looks like a blast.
Monique realizes she failed with the fake water breaking because they aren’t prepared for an emergency. The CPR lesson is kind of a disaster because her kids are all over the place.
Her kids are climbing the furniture and bothering each other, but Monique loves the break from the women. Considering the women area always at her throat, that’s understandable. If she only realizes what’s probably in store for her when she next encounters Gizelle.
Candiace does a wine tasting with her mom and sister which likely won’t end well. Anytime her mom is around, it usually ends with verbal (or sometimes physical) abuse. Her sister looks just as done with Mama Dorothy as Candiace is.

Her mom still can’t accept any change or take responsibility for anything. She doesn’t respect anyone. It still floors me that Candiace’s mom is a therapist. Who would take advice from her?
Candiace tells them Monique is talking behind her back and showing their private texts. I enjoy Monique, but that was a really sketchy move. You just don’t do that to your friend. Would you betray your close friend’s trust like that?
A close friend of Karen’s stops by her house to talk about her fragrance. Her fragrance is real and is happening. How does it feel to be the wrong Gizelle? Let your friends have a win. You shouldn’t always be looking for a way to tear your friend down.
Don’t get me wrong, Karen can be equally messy. However, this season Gizelle is doing the most in the nnever-endingbattle between the two longtime friends.
Ashley’s home from Georgia and fills Michael in about her surprise visit to see her father. I think Michael’s love for Ashley actually is genuine.

As creepy as he can be, these scenes about her father are bringing out the genuine sides out of both of them. These two are the sketchiest in all of Housewives, but I can’t help but feel for Ashley in this situation. I relate to it so much, so that’s probably why I’m affected by this story.
It’s open house time for Robyn’s miracle project. I’m so surprised to see this finished product. Props to you Robyn for proving m wrong.
ALL of the ladies are in attendance so some drama is about to go down. They never get through an event without a heated fight of some sort. I have no reason to believe this will be any different.
Everyone is shocked at how different the house looks from when Robyn first started. ME TOO. WHAT A TRANSITION.
Ashley tells Robyn about her trip to Georgia which is the third time we’ve heard this story tonight. If you don’t know between Ashley’s story tour or the title of the episode what happened, I pray for you.

Gizelle goes in on Monique the moment she walks through the door. Monique goes to hug Gizelle, and gets a verbal attack instantly. Who does that? That can’t be proper etiquette.
Robyn is unhappy with Gizelle’s behavior and a little embarrassed. Monique tries to explain herself, but Gizelle is having none of it.
Karen chimes in and points out that Ashley was the messy one here by being the bone collector. Candiace arrives in the thick of the drama and confronts Monique right away about showing the texts to Ashley.
Candiace believes there is some secret reason as to why Monique is suddenly close with Ashley. AGREED. I think it all has to with the camera footage from the rainbow party. She likely has footage that proves Michael’s guilt but doesn’t want to do Ashley like that.

The conversation then turns to rehash the knife incident at Candiace’s ill fated dinner party. She doesn’t believe that was her threatening Ashley, but come on now. She knows what she was doing.
In the midst of all the chaos, the prospective buyer for Robyn’s home leaves and now she’s out money. This is officially the open house from hell.
