Watch out Orange County — a cougar is loose in the OC and she’s back on the hunt!
Kelly Dodd took to social media on Thursday, August 15 to announce that she was once again single and back on the market.
According to Us Weekly, the Real Housewives of Orange County star announced her break-up via Instagram, firing off a series of characteristically candid posts in her stories.
“The universe is telling me I broke up with Dr. Brian,” Kelly declared on a night out with friends, adding, “and they all know why.”
While the RHOC star’s reasons for dumping her boyfriend of nearly a year remain unclear, the breakup seems to stem from him not taking her side during an unspecified argument.

“It’s real life; you don’t say you have information, you be on my team,” Kelly continued during her cryptic Instagram rant. “This is why I’m breaking up with Brian for good. This is the last time. No going back to this a–hole. At all.”
The OC firebrand then proceeded to lead her friends in an on-camera sing-along to Queen’s “Another One Bites The Dust,” brazenly dedicating the 1980 hit to Dr. Brian.

Following Kelly‘s announcement, the plastic surgeon confirmed the news in an Instagram post of his own. Captioning a picture of an OC sunset, Dr. Brian wrote, “It’s time to stop. Kelly Dodd and I are no longer dating. I wish her the best. I will not comment further about this personal matter on social media. Dating isn’t easy, doing so from afar makes it more difficult.”
While he didn’t tag the RHOC star in his post, Dr. Brian did make sure to use the hashtag #realhousewivesoforangecounty at the end of his caption.

Kelly‘s now-ex-boyfriend made his first on-camera appearance during the Season 14 premiere of RHOC, which saw her visiting his office with co-stars Tamra Judge and Shannon Beador for a consult. However, the doctor’s clear eagerness led many viewers to speculate that he was more interested in using Bravo’s cameras to promote his plastic surgery practice than to actually date Kelly.
