Last night’s episode of 90 Day Fiance The Other Way, will make you thankful for you own problems. Our favorite couples are still adjusting to problems life in another country. This episode has everything from secret flings, surprise visits and threats of divorce. Karine Staehle reaches her breaking point for the thousandth time. Corey discovers some shocking details about Evelin‘s past.
I often wonder as a spectator, if these people realize how stupid they look. Or do they just not care? In either case, the delusion is real on this 90 Day Fiance The Other Way episode. Finally some of these couples are starting to take off their rose colored glasses and see their situations for what they truly are.
Jenny, 60 (Palm Springs, California) & Sumit, 30 (India
After living in his parents’ house for the last two weeks, Sumit finally returned to the home he shares with Jenny Slatten. While there, he was interrogated by his family who is suspicious that he is lying about new job. He takes Jenny to a holy place to have a discussion about their future. Although he is still scared of what his family will do he wants to have a ring ceremony to solidify their engagement. I wonder who will be their witnesses. We know his family will be nowhere in sight. Jenny is overcome with emotion with the prospect of marrying the man she loves. Don’t celebrate too quickly. If hasn’t told his family, I hardly see this as a win. What will happen when they want him to come home again?

Jenny wants to do something nice for Sumit so she sets out to make a “traditional” meal. Sumit wonders how she raised children with her cooking skills. There is a knock on the door and Jenny is shocked to find her daughter and her wife there to visit. Jenny just about has a heart attack from the surprise of seeing her family. I’m glad her daughter decided to check on her mom in person. Hopefully, she has a direct conversation with Sumit about his intentions. I know he wants to do a ring ceremony, but without the blessing of his family, it just seems like a way of keeping Jenny quiet for the time being.
Corey, 31 (Mill A, Washington) & Evelin, 26 (Ecuador)
Corey has been in Ecuador for a month and is finally feels like he is settling in. He goes hiking with his only friend, Raul, who reveals a shocking secret. Unbeknownst to Corey, Raul actually had a fling with Evelin some years ago. Raul also reveals that the whole town is laughing behind his back about Evelin cheating on him with her ex. Corey is devastated to the point of feeling like he made a mistake leaving everything to be with Evelin. Yes, go with that thought…..
One of her conditions for being with Corey is that he mingles with the locals. Knowing everyone is laughing at him because of her actions makes the request even more cruel. To add insult to injury, his friend had to be the one to tell him the news. Ugh… what a B%^@#. Evelin literally could not care less about Corey and everyone in that town knows it.
When Corey comes home to confront Evelin, she acts completely clueless. Not only does she not wear the promise ring Corey bought her, but she thinks it’s no big deal to still speak to her ex. This is the same woman who made Corey unfriend all of his exes. When Corey becomes frustrated and asks her if she is in this, she says “I guess, I’m not”. Evelin even tells him her ex isn’t going anywhere.

She then proceeds to cry and play victim because he wants to know her true intentions. She then kicks him out of the house. Ummm… Corey if you don’t take your @ss back home! This is when I would have called my family and had them book a flight while I packed my belongings. I then would have headed over to the bar that I funded and destroyed it on my way to the airport. This woman wasn’t worth the money he spent on a plane ticket, let alone $40,000. Evelin has to be one of the most evil women I have seen on this franchise. It’s clear she is only using Corey and is still in love with her ex. Corey, it’s time for you to man up and put your foot down. If he thinks he is embarrassed now, just wait until he goes back home and 90 Day Fiance The Other Way actually airs. SMH…
Laura, 51 (Eustis, Florida) & Aladin, 29 (Qatar)
Laura and Aladin are on their way to spend the day at the beach. She becomes homesick thinking about her upcoming wedding and the things she has given up. Laura’s son refuses to attend the wedding and she misses everyone close to her.

Aladin’s initial reaction is that she should live wherever her husband is. After more talking, he takes a more compassionate approach. I’m sorry, but I am still side eyeing these two. I just can’t believe their relationship is real, despite Aladdin’s charming ways. I will have to continue to watch in order to see when Aladdin slips up.
Deavan, 22 (Salt Lake City, Utah) & Jihoon, 29 (South Korea)
Deavan Clegg is becoming frustrated that the financial burden of the baby has fallen solely on her. Ummm… that kind of seems like the risk you take when you have a one night stand and get pregnant. Jihoon Lee and Deavan decide to take the kids to the park for some family time.
Jihoon drops a bomb on Deavan: he quit his job. Deavan has already sold all of her belongings and quit her job in preparation for her move to Korea. Jihoon keeps telling her not to worry in broken English. Whew, chile not only is Deavan’s makeup a mess, so is her life at this point. She keeps asking about an apartment, doesn’t she realize she will be living with Jihoon and his parents for a LONG time.

Jihoon has been in Utah for two weeks and now he is flying back home to Korea. The next time they see each other will be when Deavan moves to Korea. When she asks Jihoon if he had fun, he says no. He complains that he didn’t get any sleep. Well, he better get used to that with a baby in the house. The days of good sleep and constant sex are over! Jihoon is sad to leave his son and fiancé. Hopefully, this spurs he to get a job quickly. Otherwise, Deavan better get ready to live with his parents.
Paul, 35 (Louisville, Kentucky) & Karine, 22 (Brazil)
Karine Staehle vents to her mother about the state of her marriage with Paul Staehle. She has had it with Paul and all of their fighting. At this point, she is ready to separate from her husband, just to have peace. Her mother isn’t surprised at all and thinks they should get a divorce. Her mother reassures her that the baby will be loved and supported by her family. Karine, Karine, Karine… I can’t say that I feel sorry for you. You saw clear signs that Paul was insane BEFORE you got married and pregnant. Now she will have to deal with a “terrorist” for life.
