Talk about leaving on a high note. Real Housewives of New York star Bethenny Frankel recently dropped the bombshell that she is once again packing up her Birkin bags and leaving the show. The news came as a shock to fans since Bethenny really brought the drama last season and was even credited for saving the show.
Other than the big meltdown in Miami when Bethenny went off on Luann de Lesseps, B was surprisingly simpatico with the rest of the cast. Maybe because Carole Radziwill was out of the picture, and no one else stepped up to call her out on her BS. However, not everyone in the Bravo family was supposedly all sunshine and rainbows with Bethenny last season.
Radar Online reported that “months before” Bethenny announced she was leaving the show, executives at Bravo were allegedly “very upset” with the star and her deal to produce unscripted TV shows with Mark Burnett. An insider said news of her partnership with Mark “was a shock to her pals at Bravo.”
They claimed, “A Housewife can do a one-off show like Dancing With The Stars…not a regular series in reality TV. Everyone was pissed off. For all the things the network has done for Bethenny, it was a slap in the face.”

I’m sure it was all about the Benjamins, baby. Also, there’s no loyalty anymore between companies and employees. If Bethenny wasn’t considered “good TV,” she would have been axed faster than you can say, “Go to sleep!!”
Bethenny’s statement that she wanted to “represent a shift in the conversation for women” also allegedly upset Bravo staff. If true, they sure are a sensitive bunch.

The insider claimed, “People are shocked, because she is the one who drove the show into all the drama and arguments. Now she is saying she doesn’t want to be part of it.” Oh, I’m sure she’ll still be causing drama and arguments, just behind the scenes instead of on camera.
I think we know what the RHONY cast will be talking about next season. Let’s just hope they don’t linger on it too long, like the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills ranting about Lisa Vanderpump every episode. Ain’t nobody got time for that!
