Last night’s episode of 90 Day Fiance Before The 90 Days, was very telling, to say the least. I guess none of these people ever heard the saying, “when someone shows you who they are, believe them.” I think all of the couples, were shown a hand, it’s up to them whether they play it. For some, it may be time to run as far as they can. But we know this is the lives of the desperate and delusional, there is no way they will do anything that would seem rational.
Avery learns Omar’s expectations, as his wife. I’m sure she hasn’t even begun to scratch the surface of how her life is going to change. I hope she realizes she won’t be able to strong arm her husband the way she does her mother. Benjamin sees a new side of Akinyi. Rebecca begins to distrust Zied’s intentions. Let’s dive into these murky waters and get into the 90 Day Fiance Before The 90 Days recap!
AVERY, 19 (OHIO) and OMAR, 24 (SYRIA)
After Avery revealed her plans to move to Syria, her mother, Teri has a complete meltdown. Avery has no idea what she is signing up for and doesn’t seem to care. Who wants to voluntarily live in a war zoneo? Omar attempts to convince Teri that the region he lives in is safe. Teri decides to let the newlyweds focus on their wedding night. She vows to do whatever is in her power to bring Omar to the US. Avery is totally delusional and oblivious to the reasons her mother is concerned. The happy couple departs to their hotel for their first night together. Avery is excited to finally be able to let down her hair, literally.
Apparently, Avery had a great time de-virginizing her husband on their wedding night. While out enjoying the day together, Avery gets her first taste of what her marriage will truly look like. Omar is extremely conservative and doesn’t think his wife should dare to argue with him. When she tells him she enjoys dancing in public, he tells her that will have to stop. Good luck, Avery! She will find out very soon, her marriage isn’t some romantic comedy.
ANGELA, 53 (HAZLEHURST, GA) AND MICHAEL, 29 (NIGERIA)
After visiting Michael Ilesanmi.’s mother, Angela Deem wants to discuss the thought of him having a baby with another woman. Although the practice is commonplace in Nigeria, Angela would kill him before she would consent to him cheating on her. She fears she is wasting her time in their relationship if it is contingent on having a child. Chile, you can’t make this $hit up. Let’s just keep it real, the chances of her having a baby naturally, are slim to none. Secondly, could the world handle a baby Angela? I could just imagine a toddler screaming, growling, and hitting Michael. Michael, are you sure this is truly what you want for your life? Blink twice if you need help!
Angela and Michael go to the fertility clinic to find out their chances of having a baby. I could have saved them a visit and a bill. Although, the doctor finds one egg, they will have to explore other options to conceive. Angela already knew her chances of getting pregnant were extremely low. She has already asked her daughter to be an egg donor or a surrogate.
BENJAMIN, 33 (PHOENIX, AZ) and AKINYI, 25 (KENYA)
Benjamin is finally able to escape Akinyi’s brother home, now that he has everyone’s blessing. He can now have some privacy and peace in the apartment he has been paying for since his arrival. Akinyi comes to spend a week with him to get to know each other before they get married. Akinyi clearly isn’t the innocent preacher’s kid, Benjamin thought she was. She is annoyed that he doesn’t want to do anything that will tempt them to have sex. SMH… I would think Benji was a virgin the way he was sweating when Akinyi was talking about sex… if he didn’t have a son.
Akinyi takes Benjamin to the zoo to enjoy the day together. Things get awkward when Benjamin talks about introducing Akinyi to his son as his stepmother. She confesses that she only wants to be a friend, not a mother figure. I think this huge red flag has just gone straight over Benjamin’s head. He hopes to convince her otherwise and work through the changes she will encounter as his wife. Akinyi is 26 year old woman, but often speaks and thinks in a child-like manner. Benjamin, you may want to think long and hard before you spend the little money you have making this woman your wife.
Benjamin is having doubts after his conversation with Akinyi about his son. At dinner, the red flags keep flying. She immediately orders a drink and acts extremely strange throughout the night. As she gulps down her margarita, she begs the waiter for more drinks. Benjamin is turned off by her tipsy state and quickly denies her request. He was under the impression Akinyi rarely drinks. Now he is worried she would drink, while his son is home. Okay, Benjamin now that is quite a leap. Yes, she is drunk and making a fool out of herself, but that doesn’t mean she would just become a complete drunk overnight.
DARCEY, 44 (CONNECTICUT) AND TOM, 39 (UNITED KINGDOM)
The bobble heads twins and their men are headed to the club for the night. It’s early and Darcey Silva is already on track for a full breakdown. She is spending more time comparing relationships than spending time with Tom Brooks. She even tries to manipulate him into telling her he loves her to stop a tantrum. The shit show night gets worse when Tom takes Stacey’s side about Darcey’s behavior. She going into a full scale hot mess in 5…4….3…2…1.
Darcey storms to the bathroom as Stacey attempts to explain her sister’s behavior to Tom. When she returns, everyone attempts to coddle her so she doesn’t continue to make a scene. Well, it’s too late for that! Darcey has become a complete train wreck before our very eyes. Tom refuses to tell her he loves her, just to validate her. This woman is the epitome of pathetic. It’s hard to believe she actually has children that are old enough to watch their mother embarrass their entire family on national television. Darcey needs to be looking for a therapist, not a husband.
TIMOTHY, 38 (NORTH CAROLINA) AND JENIFFER, 25 (COLOMBIA)
Okay, what the hell is wrong with Timothy? He actually had a hot woman in his bed who WANTED to have sex with him, yet he opted to go to bed instead. What??????????? I’m sorry, but I couldn’t deal with this type of man. I originally was shocked that Jeniffer kept calling him a wimp in every episode. Now, I’m starting to think he would drive even the nicest person to say that to him. What woman wants to keep reassuring a man that she won’t hurt him every day????
Timothy and Jeniffer go to a national park and he literally whines the entire time. Ughhhh… girl, is this the best American man you could find? Jeniffer becomes frustrated when she realizes Timothy has no intention of enjoying their day together. She even calls him a “pussy” because he is afraid of heights and refuses to get on a ride. Timothy completely shuts down when he feels Jeniffer is disrespecting him. Can these two not see that they are the furthest thing from a match?
Jeniffer has had enough of Timothy’s negative attitude. He is actually complaining about having to do things outside instead of “normal” couple things. Huh?? Jeniffer reminds him when she tried to stay in and get intimate that he shut down and went to sleep. Jeniffer cut your losses and try again. This guy isn’t worth the trouble or pretending you like him.
CAESAR, 46 (NORTH CAROLINA) AND MARIA, 28 (UKRAINE)
Caesar has packed up his chocolate G-strings and is finally leaving Mexico. I wonder will he sit at home and eat them as cries and looks at a picture of Maria. He attempts to call this 50 year old man living in his mother’s basement Maria after he was scammed and stood up. Even on the way to the airport, he is rationalizing how they will eventually get back together. Sigh! I can’t… this man is hopeless. They said a sucker is born every minute, Caesar clearly is one.
REBECCA, 47 (GEORGIA) AND ZIED, 26 (TUNISIA)
Rebecca is still having doubts about her Tunisian boy toy, Zied. Her suspicions go on high alert when he asks her for 500 dinar, which is roughly $200 American dollars. He tells her he wants to buy a gift for his sister, who he is meeting later. I don’t know what kind of gift he is buying his “sister” that would cost that much. If I were Rebecca the answer would have been hell no. The last time she and the sister met, she was less than friendly.
Rebecca is still fuming that Zied asked her for a large sum of money. Meanwhile, he is meeting with his sister to use that money to buy her an engagement ring. I’m starting to believe that he doesn’t actually have a job. If he did, why did he need to take Rebecca’s money for her to basically buy her own ring? When he returns to Rebecca, she is furious that he may be using her for money. Well, maybe she should have thought of that before she found a much younger man in another country. It kills me she keeps comparing Zied to her ex, despite literally finding someone who checked all the same boxes.
TELL US- DO YOU THINK AVERY WILL BECOME THE DEMURE WIFE OMAR IS LOOKING FOR? DO YOU THINK ZIED HAS A JOB? WHAT DO YOU THINK OF TIMOTHY’S CONSTANT NEED FOR REASSURANCE? SHOULD BENJAMIN PACK HIS BAGS AND LEAVE KENYA WITHOUT AKINYI?
